Today's drawing was created for us by the-laridian (for ArtFight, in which our official artists are participating)! This is the first time anyone's drawn Seraphin Panorme on artfight! Of course, we understand he's less appealing than the other characters... among mermaids, tentacled monsters, sentient fish, and other bizarre creatures, Seraphin is just one type. In the story, his charm lies in the fact that he's perfectly human, but when it comes to standing out, placed in an exhibition of mythological creatures, he's the one left behind XD And it's partly our fault, too, we admit. We don't do much content about him alone; usually the spotlight is on the fish he studies (and not only that ;))), Sangreal. For this reason, we'd like to especially thank the-laridian for this drawing! His little smile... his natural charm... we can say they were captured really well! The sunlight making his skin glow, the colors perfectly matched to the seascape, what we assume is his diving suit, a bright blue under the midday sun: it's a portrait that seems to have been cut from a scene full of life, and we really love that this was the first piece of Seraphin fanart we've ever received. Today's drawing was created for us by Ifreann7 (for ArtFight, in which our official artists are participating)! There are all kinds of things we expect to receive... 3D models, digital drawings, traditional drawings, pixel art sprites... but if there's one thing we absolutely DIDN'T expect to see, and that really surprised us, it's a buildable paper doll of Sangreal! (We don't know how long this link will be available, but this is the printing template, in case you want to print it at home to build your own articulated fish! And it's also incredibly complicated! We've probably never built a puppet as complicated as this one, but that's precisely what blew us away: the complexity and perfection of the details, all remembered and perfectly placed. We can't believe someone made something so beautiful for us! Can we just say we love the way the face was drawn? It's absolutely perfect for Sangreal: his round, fish-like eyes, contrasting with his full, well-defined, and decidedly more "human" lips, are his trademark, that thing that gives him a slight "uncanny" that we love so much, and which has been captured so well here that we couldn't have done better. Even the nose, voluminous and aquiline, with a beautiful rounded, unbroken curve, is truly his. It's perhaps one of the most precise and perfect pieces of Sangreal fan art we've ever received. Sangreal must have certainly left a mark... and that's something we're incredibly proud of. Look at this bizarre fish guy! And the best part is that now we can print it, put it together (will we be able to? We really hope so. For now, half of it is put together and attached to our fridge, we hope we can finish it all!) and have it with us always. A beautiful gift, in short, is what we received. Today's drawing was created for us by cjcraziness (for ArtFight, in which our official artists are participating)! It's a depiction of Rosas, with Seras Alkahest's tentacles surrounding him. Seras's tentacles are one of her most prominent features, the thing that most sticks in the minds of those who interact with her. And Seras herself, with her personality, is well represented by them, by the way she touches everything, holds everything, possesses everything. The artist asks: "Just how interesting (dangerous) is it to be a favourite "Moray" of the Sea Witch Seras, I wonder? And should he be more worried about that than his next fashionable outfit?" And the answer is… it depends. Is it worth living with anxiety over something you can't avoid? If Seras decided to harm him, transform him, discard him, or destroy him… what could Rosas do to defend himself? Perhaps Rosas's "madness" is what allows him to enjoy what's happened to him, even though it's something absolutely dangerous. Those tentacles offering him food, beautiful clothes, and wonderful objects are a trap, but it's uncertain whether they'll one day close in on him and crush him.
