Bummiera (Brown Lake) or Tea Tree Lake Stradbroke Island.
These sacred waters are home to Yuri Kabool, a massive, sacred carpet snake spirit. Local legend says Yuri Kabool doesn't just stay in one place, the spirit travels deep underground through subterranean waterways, moving seamlessly between Bummiera and Kaboora (Blue Lake) because of this, both lakes are approached with reverence.
Traditional Elders would "sing out" to the water to ask for permission before approaching.
