Interesting info on fudanshi in the early BL sphere, with lots of examples of men and women collaborating on works. https://retroanimechris.blogspot.com/2025/05/to-foster-community-fudanshi-subversion.html #bl #fujoshi #fudanshi #yaoi #doujin #doujinshi #gundam

A friend of mine just launched Kosmo, a new #fediverse service out of Korea, built around the dōjin (同人) scene: fan works, fanzines, that whole self-published creative culture. It's live now at kos.moe, in open beta and Korean-language only for now. It speaks #ActivityPub, so you get the basics: posting, following, boosting. It also has emoji reactions, and one account can hold several public profiles. They say profile tags are coming next, meant to express something about a profile's identity and usable for search and muting too. It's still early, and they'd genuinely appreciate feedback from anyone who gives it a try. #fedidev #doujin #dōjin #subculture #otaku RE: https://planet.moe/@kosmo/117014381597184627

Just found this, high-key interested, so I'll pass it along to like-minded people: https://doujin-freaks.neocities.org/ "Doujin Freaks is a network of fans and creators who wish to bring the spirit and practice of doujin to the West. So far that's concentrated on the East Coast of the US; I myself, moon, am from central Maryland. However, my goal is to grow Doujin Freaks and encourage people to plan and hold local events no matter where they are!" Not on Mastodon unfortunately; I'll try to ask if they'll consider bridging to here from Bsky but here's their account: https://bsky.app/profile/doujin-freaks.bsky.social #doujinshi #comics #fancomics #doujingroup #doujin #anime #manga
