Il Segretario al Tesoro statunitense Scott Bessent ha avvertito che le compagnie aeree iraniane incontreranno difficoltà operative entro due giorni a causa delle sanzioni americane, mentre l'amministrazione Trump cerca di mantenere alta la pressione su Teheran. Dal 23 settembre, "le compagnie aeree iraniane non potranno più operare in nessuna parte del mondo", ha dichiarato Bessent in un'intervista all'emittente americana Cnbc. Quando i loro aerei atterreranno, "non si potrà fornire loro carburante, ne' servizi di assistenza all'atterraggio (...) altrimenti si verrà esclusi dal sistema del dollaro", ha aggiunto.
Usa negano visti a team di comunicazione Pezeshkian a Onu
La notizia arriva dopo che gli Stati Uniti hanno rifiutato di concedere i visti al team di comunicazione del presidente iraniano Masoud Pezeshkian, escludendoli così dal viaggio di questa settimana all'Assemblea generale dell'ONU. "In un atto ostile senza precedenti da parte del governo statunitense, Trump ha negato i visti d'ingresso ad alcuni membri della delegazione di alto livello del presidente", ha riportato l'agenzia di stampa statale Irna.
