Kawartha Highlands Trip Report: Three days, 2 nights climbing up to Serpentine Lake. First time for me and grandma and 3.5. Bugs were light but the deer flies found you and harassed you. Bite on my hand had it swollen up. Cut the trip a day short when an old man and his partner who had been staying on Copper lake that month said the stream from Anderson Lake back into Copper was a bog. I’ve watched enough horror films to know when the old man says don’t do something , listen! With rain on the third day and it becoming a short portage back into Copper instead of the loop, we decided to push on for home. #OntarioParks #Canoe #CanoeTrip #KawarthaHighlands
