CCK is based at The Lockon, a squatted pub in #Cambridge #UK. We cook 300+ hot vegan meals twice a week, and deliver them for free across the city. We have no owners, no managers, and no government funding. We are intentionally not a charity; we are a mutual aid collective where decisions are made by consensus – nobody is in charge. Hey, it's been 10 days since the last shout out for volunteers, so you know what that means, right? 😃 It means we had five whole sessions with enough people stepping up to clean, to cook, to deliver, to host, to clean again, and to coordinate.
But all good things come to an end, and it's looking a bit thin on the rotas for today, so if you're in #CambridgeUK and wasn't to indulge your passion for #mutualaid for a couple of hours in between 12:30 and 20:30, now would be an excellent time to do so! We look forward to hearing from you.
