The Tetrahedral Planetoid - after M.C. Escher

Started this last summer for a VR project and decided I should finish it. I spent way too much time on this one, LOL. Has all 56 inhabitants from the original. Still have to render to 6K which is gonna take somewhere around 9 hours. Hope you like! If you see anything off/missing/etc. please let me know. PS - this is a 2K render but BA is resizing to 1K for whatever reason.

Cerulean Cathedral

Made In Blender, A animated version can be found on my Instagram - @Bogles3d please go check it out and give it some love! I was really happy with how the Cathedral turned out. Probably my most detailed building I’ve made yet. There’s a bit of kitbashing happening but the building, windows, pillars, spire, rose window, entrance etc was all made by myself 🙂

Catching dragons inside a volcano

Little viking trying to catch a dragon (inside a volcano…) I created the little yellow viking before: Afterwards I decided to make the full render > add dragon + scene. Same ref used: https://johnloren.com/odds--and-ends The dragon was a very fun character to sculpt. Colors added with sculpt vertex paint. I did a retopology and transferred the vertex paint to a texture but used the raw sculpt instead of the retopo for the render. Colors looked better more saturated on the vertex paint v...

Waterplants

I tried a different artstyle this time, hope you like it. I also have an animated sequence for this, but messed up the render settings for that unfortunately. I will re-render the animation and will add it later. I will also share the water shader i made here on my new patreon page later this week. You can find the link on my instagram profile (will be free of course). Rendered in Blender Cycles at 100 samples. Instagram | Artstation

The Frog Wants the Cake

All done in Blender, with a bit of hand-painting and procedural textures. I haven’t learned how to rig yet, so maybe down the line we’ll get an animation of the frog stealing the cherries! It took me a while, but I finally tested some filters in Blender’s compositor. I loved this paint filter, it added a super cute touch to the final result! ** About the Paint Filter - decisipes** How I worked with the filter I tested others, but I really liked the watercolor option. I wo...

Mojave Yucca - A Botanical Study

Yucca Schidigera also know as Mojave Yucca, grows in southern California, the Mojave Desert and down into Baja California. Fibers from its leaves are strong and versatile, often used by Native Americans to make cord, cloth, thread, and sandals. Seeds from its fruit can be used to make flour and its flowers and fruits are edible and offer different medicinal uses. This companion piece focuses on the yucca moth, the plant’s sole pollinator. The two are inseparable and rely on each other for...

Quick Kitchen Render

Just a simple kitchen. No project, no client, one still and that’s it. Just wanted to make something simple and nice. I don’t know… I am starting to like this simple style and monochromatic color palette. What do you think? The model of the bar stools is not modeled by me, I think the cutting boards as well 😆 - I don’t remember, I just had that from past projects. Everything else is mine, not that there is really much of anything in the render 😆 I usually post in Focused...

Stylised Porsche

I’ve been learning about Hard Surface Modelling with Grant Abbitt’s ‘Hard Surface Modelling in Blender’ course over on GameDev.TV. To help make the final render a little more unique, I modelled some slightly different wheels.

Summer Desserts

Hello, I completed a new artwork. The theme is based on summer desserts. I made different items based on real references and added a stylized look. Most of the materials are procedural and some parts are texture painted with ucupaint. All work was done in Blender and using Eevee for rendering. Thank you for viewing! Fall Road to the Mountains

I created this scene using Blender, Substance Painter, SpeedTree, and Gaea. The focus of this project was to build a detailed, high-altitude autumn environment. The terrain and dirt path were created in Blender, combining several material and texture layers to build the ground and the road. The foreground trees and grasses along the trail were made in SpeedTree and Blender. For the distant tree lines, I created 2D card trees from the 3D trees modeled in SpeedTree to optimize the scene. Sci-Fi - Recorder Prop

Hello there! Here is a little model I made recently, the project started as I wanted to teach some modelling techniques with subdivisions to a friend, but I decided to finish it from my side, I modeled it from scratch following the concept art reference by Arthur Mougne. Very fun and tricky to make, especially the cassette part. Made with Blender and Substance painter Rendered with Cycles A turnaround animation where I explored fake caustics lights: Here a bit of a breakdown an
