Sweet, sweet victory for chocolate makers with Saskatchewan ties Assiniboia, Sask. residents Tiffany Rose and her husband Robert Payant joined their friends in farming cocoa in Ecuador. Pleased to receive the electronic form of my contributor copy of the 2026 Dwarf Stars #anthology yesterday. My poem, "raging storm", which was originally published in Star*Line 48.4, appears in it. The print copy will soon follow. All poets whose poems were selected for the anthology are finalists in the Dwarf Star #award, which recognises the best #speculative #poem published in 2025. The winner will be announced in October. Two other poems of mine were finalists in 2021 & 2023, respectively.

It seems to be award season again. At least my email and social media messages are flooded with dozens of "Pay us a thousand dollars to be awarded our prestigious award." No FIFA Peace Price so far. (I'm convinced that this is the correct spelling) #spam #award
