Just for funsies the solar fan panel there on my roof, seen from some height away. The pipe below is a sewage vent stack pipe. I am insure what the great big metal vent is there or where it is connected. Roof has no opening. But 2 stories down is HVAC. (Why an outside opening... I do not know. Air supply for the furnace, perhaps? There's a different fume vent through the garage for combustion products from the furnace) #atticfan

No fan for sure, but the very cool weather outside is equalizing up there quickly. I guess no way to tell what impact it had without turning the fan off and comparing on a similar sunlight/weather day... it definitely is doing something good, but just no way to quantify the number of degrees it is helping (it clearly is flattening the curve and likely the peak) #atticfan #sensors

Down to 25.5C/78F at 8:30pm due to temp differential. I could see how a fan on in evening hours could still help. (but, then would have an electrical draw, vs. free electrons). #atticfan

Popped into the attic. The sensor is hanging by a string off the rafters right above the attic door, so I can change batteries easier. Also away from aurfaces which retain temperatures. Used Lithium batteries $ as they work in extremes better and should last longer. Hoping to not have to change these often. Even with the fan running... 87F! Outside air temp is 74F. #atticfaninstall #atticfan #sensors
