Agi: Affonda un gommone al largo di Creta, un morto e 25 migranti dispersi
AGI - Naufragio a sud di Creta: 25 persone risultano disperse e una è morta; 51 i sopravvissuti. Lo riferisce Alarm Phone, che ieri aveva lanciato l'allerta riguardo una imbarcazione con 77 migranti a bordo di un gommone semiaffondato.
Le ricerche nell'area marittima a 38 miglia nautiche a sud di Gavdos, sono proseguite per tutta la notte senza esito.

"Chiediamo risposte alla Guardia costiera greca che inizialmente ha detto che le autorità libiche dovrebbero essere quelle a 'salvare': con così tante risorse nelle vicinanze, inclusa un'imbarcazione Frontex, perché non hanno agito in tempo per salvare le persone?", l'appello di Alarm Phone.
"Da quando abbiamo allertato le autorità all'inizio del pomeriggio di ieri, non siamo riusciti a ottenere dettagli su un'operazione di salvataggio. I media locali riportano di un naufragio nella notte che riteniamo riguardi questo caso", aggiunge ancora la ong.

AGI - Shipwreck off Southern Crete: 25 people are missing and one has died; 51 survivors. This is reported by Alarm Phone, which yesterday launched the alert regarding a boat with 77 migrants on board a partially submerged dinghy.
Search operations in the maritime area 38 nautical miles south of Gavdos continued throughout the night without success.

"We are asking for answers from the Greek Coast Guard, who initially said that Libyan authorities should be those to 'rescue': with so many resources nearby, including a Frontex vessel, why didn't they act in time to save people?" the Alarm Phone appeal states.
“Since we alerted authorities in the early afternoon yesterday, we have not been able to obtain details of a rescue operation. Local media report of a shipwreck during the night which we believe concerns this case,” the NGO adds.
