I installed the washer and dryer! (Having once been a homeowner comes in handy ☺️) is a bit of a pain, the dryer vent to the outside is poorly situated so that with a standard size dryer there's no way to get the dryer back far enough, so it actually obstructs the swing of the back door a bit. I've been looking at lots of dryer vent options (the rectangular ducting, periscope, etc) but I'm pretty sure there's nothing I can do about it. (This is part of the reason I had held off buying washer+dryer: the compact ones are more expensive, as are the more-efficient ones. But since these were free [yes FREE!] I'm going to live with this) #renter #renterLife #adulting

Three good things from today’s dryer adventure: 1. The dryer held on long enough to finish my first load before making a horrible noise and giving up for good. 2. Chose a dryer that worked without losing money to find that out. 3. I had enough quarters for the dryer. The downside? There’s no air conditioning in there, and the cooler outdoor air is full of smoke from the Canadian wildfires. I love my wife. It's been 12 years of wedded bliss. She's a lovely mother and teacher and wife. I'm thankful. It's a very calm and peaceful existence, stable, dependable, drama-free. HOWEVER, Every time I see these psycho republican women on TV acting crazy, I get kinda nostalgic about the weirdos I dated 20yrs ago. All the drama, all the unpredictability and lack of stability. Kinda exciting in a way, ya know? LOL #adulting #aging #republican
