looked like a authentic namecheap email that tells you your domain is about to expire, mentioned the precise domain name I have, arrived at the right time (early may is approximately when this one comes up for renewal). I clicked the link and went straight to a payment page. the lack of requirement of a login step threw me off guard and that made me look more closely and notice the incorrect domain name and the "Hi Dear," in the email salutation (something that I normally completely skip past while skimming!)

trans day of visibility is so interesting to me, because it's meant to highlight the struggles of trans people and celebrate their victories, right. I feel like I've had a much more privileged and struggle-free experience after coming out as trans compared to most of my peers. I've often thought that my experiences as an immigrant are much more traumatizing to me than my experiences as a trans person. but that's not to minimize the struggles that come with being trans - I'm here, in this extremely privileged and lucky position, because of the struggles of the people that came before me and the support of the people around me. I've found happiness within myself, and community in a faraway land, thanks to my transness. so, hey, thank you to every fellow trans person around me, for making life worth living. you rock extremely hard and I owe so, so much to you personally

@b0rk I enjoy https://coolors.co because it lets me dial a color combination in for a particular use case while making it easy to make it look good, but there's also other premade palettes like https://materialui.co/colors and https://flatuicolors.com that are great in a pinch. they have different vibes though I think. the flat ui palettes are more muted, the material ones are more vibrant, tailwind is sorta a nice middle ground

I think the term applies, but being an immigrant and being a trans person for me have been such different experiences that it almost feels odd to lump them in together. in an ideal world I would like to completely forget I'm an immigrant, or not be one at all. on the other hand, I don't want to forget or be rid of my transness, because it's unlocked so much for me in terms of community, and in terms of thinking about myself and other people. it's a pretty "high up on maslow's triangle" sort of thing in that way
