Any #baking #fruitcake #christmascake #foodsafety experts know if 2 Christmas cakes I started last August but never iced for Christmas would be safe to eat this year? I fed them brandy up until December last year but then events put life or specifically Christmas on hold somewhat. As I’m due to start new ones at the end of the month, I have a dilemma about what to do with the old one!

@yayamatt@mastodon.social just said some 'technical issue' mid song it went quiet and then after a period of silence the emergency 'tape' kicked in and so old songs kicked in, although not that old, but there was something about it that instantly felt like the emergency tape had kicked in. Not heard it happen for a long time now.

@jmb@mastodon.me.uk multi colour is a blessing and a curse, enables some great prints but have to teach the kids that having a print job do hundreds of colour changes and wasting 5 times as much filament than is in the model isn’t sustainable! 😂

I saw an advert on #ITV last night about how I need to take a long hard look at myself about how much water I am using/wasting and I should try much harder to reduce it and we all need to work together.... so is that so there's plenty left for all these data centers using water for cooling, and let's not even start discussing all the wastage through leaks #letssavewater

@scottishwildcat@mastodon.ie @jmb@mastodon.me.uk I believe you only really stand a good chance of beating savings rates if you have the full allowance and anecdotally I saw this. Also had them for years, only ever saw the rare small win, I was fortunate to be able to max out for a few months once and the winnings increased massively far exceeding any savings and I think investments even, but of course it’s luck of the draw! Once I had to take the money back out back to no winnings for years 😊

@rachel@norfolk.social there is a downside to regen, I’ve had to replace front pads and discs at the first MOT, then the rears for the 2nd MOT 🙄 I now make sure the give the brakes a bit more use when the battery is full and not doing regen…
