Attempts to detect slop or make people label it are doomed to fail because AI is designed to manipulate us.
What we really need is government action to completely dismantle the slopselling corpos, and a strong societal taboo against using LLMs.

For me, no.
I'm glad Vivaldi's AI-free, but I don't trust any software built on Chromium. From a security and privacy standpoint, I think people should run for the hills there.
DDG I used for years, but switched when I discovered how sketchy they are. Sure they don't have AI turned on by default, but they're still building their own AI, which is still ethically terrible. And they quietly censor adult-oriented results like for dildo sellers, even with safesearch off, and have never acknowledged it. So I can't trust DDG.

I'm sick of Tuta's UI being slow. And today, my email seems to be completely unavailable. I'm moving to Mailbox.org, which is another E2EE email service, also from Germany, like Tuta. But Mailbox's UI makes me feel like I'm using gmail (complimentary), and they support desktop clients like Thunderbird.
I appreciate what Tuta does, but I think they need to step up their game technologically to draw more people in.
