There can be an opportunity somewhere hidden in this mess. After my kudo's for my #FP6 #eos phone, it is only fair to also give some praise to my @tuxedocomputers@linuxrocks.online InfinityBook Pro 15 laptop. I was lucky enough to have bought it before the #AI gods decided they were entitled to all the RAM in the world, so it's got 96GB of RAM and 8TB of SDD's. It runs super stable on TuxedoOS, which is a tailored version of Kubuntu. And it's developed and assembled in Germany. It's very nice to have a laptop build by a company that focusses on Linux only, in contradiction to my previous Dell XPS-13 that basically ran out of Linux support after a year. #buyeuropean #linux

I've bought a Focusrite Scarlett Solo for my guitar and want to use it on Linux. Pretty nice Linux recognises it out of the box :) I want to route the sound of my guitar trough my laptop to my bluetooth speaker. There is Jack, qjackctl, ALSA, qpwgraph, all amazing, but slightly overwhelming tools to start with. Are there any good beginner resources on how to set this up? Maybe even a good resource on how audio works on Linux (Tuxedo OS/ Kubuntu)? #guitar #linux #linuxguitar

@davekeating.substack.com The problem is that Rob Jetten has got a shoestring around his neck that is being held by the VVD. To be able become prime minister Jetten chose to enter a coalition with the VVD that demanded strict financial boundaries including EU budget. The VVD has been the rot in Dutch politics for about 15 years now and every party that enters a coalition with them ends up loosing votes. I think Jetten is basically a good guy. He just wanted to become prime minister a bit too much I think.

So I think giving them a fully supported Linux machine would be the safer option for them. Although I agree there are challenges in getting people to work with Linux too...
