@da_667@infosec.exchange I didnt quite read the post when I first scrolled by it so I somehow thought you were talking about billionaires... "can I kill them with a large number of explosives" -> "Yeah, you probably don't NEED a large number but why would you ever show restraint" :D

@jantzen@mas.to Will it be LLM-free? As in no LLM used for developing and no AI-features.

@Sajid15@mastodon.social judging from the FEATURES.md and the .gitignore that looks vibed. That makes it a non-starter for many on fedi, so maybe you can clarify if LLM:s had any part in that?

@quad@akko.quad.moe @stormbringer@noauthority.social I mean whenever you happen to visit, I assume that you will have to change release once in a while if you go with Debian or Mint

@quad@akko.quad.moe @stormbringer@noauthority.social yeah I'd probably put Mint or plain vanilla Debian stable on it. Never tried Zorin tho. I'd say that the distro is probably not too important, whatever you feel most comfortable managing for him. I'd focus on making sure his browser autoupdates, maybe run it as a flatpak.

I've setup #syncthing to synchronize my music between my desktop and my android, and run deadbeef on the desktop and vinyl music player on my phone. No more ai-infested #spotify for me! #noai #nollm

@Hal_9000@chaos.social The #prusa core one+ kit got delivered on friday, so my wife and I assembled it over the past three days and fired it up for a test print an hour ago. It worked, first try! The documentation was outstanding just as you said and with the exception of maybe three steps in the assembling everything was smooth sailing all the way. Extremely happy with my purchase, so thank you again!

Finally getting around to delete #spotify from my life. I'm looking for a nice #noai #nollm FOSS music player for android and would appreciate any suggestions!
The most important feature would be the ability to play local media files on the device itself but streaming media from a local media server would also be a nice bonus.

Ugh.. #kubernetes and #kubevirt appears LLM-infested. I've long been on the fence about k8s since I've loved what I can do with the ecosystem but damn its an ugly child already and the last thing k8s needs is slop served on top of it. So I looked to #incus as I've heard alot of good things about it, but lo and behold they also accept slop albeit under a pretty restrictive policy :( #noai #nollm

asking the hivemind for suggestions for 3d printers. Total noob with no particular application in mind other than maybe #3dprint replacement parts for stuff. I am more interested in the things I can print than the printer itself :)
It's important that no functionality is locked behind cloud services or subscriptions. So no #bambulabs I guess, especially after the OrcaSlicer debacle
Maybe a #prusa ? Or are they also enshittified? or a #creality ?

@pberry@me.dm @Viss@mastodon.social well... as the supreme court confirmed his delusions they have basically destroyed the foundation of the current legal framework for data transfers. Even if the turd is replaced I think new legislation will have to be passed to strip the president of the newly SCOTUS-blessed powers, presumably as an amendment, before you can go back and say that "an independent privacy watchdog is ensuring equally strong protection for PII" with a wink-wink-nudge, And that has to happen before the framework is revoked. And boy is Max Schrems drooling already

@Viss@mastodon.social yeah and if you at all want to or have to care about the GDPR you likely have 2-3 years tops until it will be illegal to let Microsoft, Google or Amazon touch any PII on your behalf

@tinker@infosec.exchange oh, and you know all the companies that got breached? the reason is they used too few antivirus programs! the pros make sure to disable that built-in garbage windows defender and install ALL the free ones and at least two of the top brands from the Gartner Magic Quadrant. You will literally feel your systems become more secure with each AV you add

@tinker@infosec.exchange Dont forget: when you get a new credit card, make sure to snap a photo of the front and back and upload it to social media. Make sure to mirror the images so hackers can't read the numbers! It will be absolutely safe as only you know how you protected the photos and you can flip them back when you need it.

I was digging in opencodes github repo to find a clue regarding how and when it parses remote configs from .well-known/opencode and found this issue https://github.com/anomalyco/opencode/issues/10939?issue=anomalyco%7Copencode%7C22191
TL;DR if the config contains a command key under auth it will silently execute on the client system when you authenticate to the provider 🤯
The security surrounding the AI ecosystem is a fucking joke
#ai #llm #vibecoding #opencode
EDIT: I did not find this issue myself, credit goes to the issue author. I just stumbled over the issue, I apologize for not making that clear
