/2 I was pretty clear in my emails to Leah that I needed possession of that rom stock file. I asked Leah Rowe if they kept the original UEFI rom stock files as back ups. I received no answer. Maybe Leah has an issue with me being American? Their profile suggests they are an activist. There are wordings/tags such as indicating they’re pro-Palestine. Hey Leah, if you’re somehow reading this I’m not a registered Republican. So, it stands to reason I didn’t vote for Donald Trump either time. I don’t know what your problem with me is. I spent decent money for your customer hardware… I’ve tried to get around this constraint during boot-up. I think FreeBSD is looking for something that’s not present. Any #freebsd gurus or experts know how to bypass this restriction on modern laptops without using UEFI?

I discovered once again (honestly: I just forgot) that in modern PCs and laptops one has to adjust the AHCI/NVME setting and the Intel VMD/RST setting used for Windows in the UEFI/BIOS menu. I've found out through multiple interactions with Claude that any FreeBSD 12 (not 15) has issues being recognized by a typical laptop's NVRAM settings even after I successfully run efibootmgr in the FreeBSD shell. This is a borderline straight-up conundrum. When I press F12 there is no list of boot entries which show Linux and FreeBSD. I have to dig down or just dig in further and run another esoteric command from inside FreeBSD. Why do the OEMs and the proprietary hardware world hate Open Source's guts? Was is something we said a long time ago?

I feel okay knowing that it is still important to show some interest and write about the software-related part to this riddle. I don't like how this has all happened before in America's history with elections at certain points or junctures. Ask the question of either the lieutenant on the stand or his don: What did he know and when did he know it? That was a sly reference to the sad Watergate saga. That was the prosecutor facing Sirica's court and asking Gordon Liddy, John Dean and others to account for how the money was spent and what President Nixon's slush fund got used for. Now why is it the orange idiot keep pivoting back to 2020? Nobody knows. I care enough to write some observations. What gives, America? This guy is just too old, too senile, and way too blase about a lot of important things.

I just now remembered that the country of South Korea somehow pulled off a counter coup by using or tricking their military who was about to break down their own capitol's doorway into not letting that old dirty man remain in power. WE CANNOT DO THIS HERE. THE PEOPLE WHO RUN AMERICA ARE GROSSLY INCOMPETENT TO THE POINT WHERE AMERICA IS EVEN MORE OF A PROBLEM NOW FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD.

REDRAFT: I need to stop being this querulous. Sorry — I have been angrily venting a lot about some stuff to a high degree. My personal life just sucks right now. 1) Use open license architecture. 2) No monitoring or spying should occur in the code itself: this means connections and apps loading from or data and content being delivered to anything that connects the process to all the users. 3) Companies must not place an user's identity right into the central, logistical, and operational theme of any online platform willy-nilly style. This is going to be a cultural and gradual shift that they're going to hate, especially the MAGA right-wing business people. High flyers in corporate finance such as the libertarian and egalitarian Jamie Dimon can GTFOH if he really thinks the working concept of who's in charge and it mattering who's in charge will not ever fundamentally change from both the administrative and financial side of things. Just put more women and BIPOCs in charge of Fortune 500 businesses who have different heritages and cultural values. 4) Stop selling shitty software that underperforms. Simplify first and design around economics and not vanity. 5) To the myriad of individuals who call themselves shareholders: pay people a living wage. For some young people, especially given many BIPOC developers' cultural heritages, the word shareholder just means "master" at the end of the day.

I'm re-reading some of this stuff I've been writing: This: " Companies must not place an user's identity right into the central, logistical, and operational theme of any online platform willy-nilly style. " I was envisioning or attempting to describe a revolutionary or an almost foundation-style kind of shifting gears into something in this sort of unique country involving people somehow gaining the ability to put more care into how things are made and the requisite stewardship needed for such projects. The output of what some of us do for a living at our jobs or just petering away by contributing volunteer time needs to move away from the control of useful idiots. The management class only serves the c-suite and they in turn only serve their shareholders. It's a snake which consumes itself and ashes: we all fall down. This is my ultimate plea. We need more BENEFIT companies.

political info about America's 2020 election
https://news.google.com/stories/CAAqNggKIjBDQklTSGpvSmMzUnZjbmt0TXpZd1NoRUtEd2lWeFB5NkVSRld0MmJFLWo5NXRTZ0FQAQ?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen THIS IS INCREDIBLE. THANK YOU, JUSTICE KETANJI AND THE OTHER JUSTICES WHO HAVE A CONSCIENCE. Thanks to them, we will have law and order with every single state's mail-in ballots going forward. This was a close one if you look at the timeline of how trump has been cheating and lying his way through office. I do not GAF what anyone writes on here. 2024 was stolen, however it was stolen in a shrouded way. You have to look in certain places to really know. You would also have to look up data to be able to discern precisely where it went wrong. I've included an attachment from President Biden's 2020 win for comparison. Biden's victory hinged on a margin of around 45k votes (see attached). Postscript — The various states have not yet updated or modified the least-performing parts of their electronic voting machines in the southern and mid-western states because of reasons. One does not use mail-in voting and electronic voting machines together. I'm just writing what I've learned about voting over the last few years. I feel that the truly worst part is those machines' operating systems which are entirely Windows-based. This means most of the code inside of voting machines is closed source or closed off to public review. That's how billionaires Elon Musk and Peter Thiel along with extreme right-wing judicial activist Leonard Leo pulled off the theft of the 2024 election for their fellow billionaire — No. 47. Please, do not pay any attention to the 2020 election's outcome. Democrats do not cheat and Biden/Harris won by a good margin. 2020 is a red herring that was pretty much started by the trump admin itself and trump lawyer and trump pal Rudy Giuliani to cry foul in any area where there was no organized intent to steal nor to defraud the outcome of the vote.

In software, we work with compliance measures and the businesses we work for mandate the assurance in how software runs — by programmers working on ways to ascertain the true quality of the software before it's finally delivered to the client(s). In the legal system, even the courts can be forced to comply with the rule of law. The idea of Trump is getting pretty damn old. He is an old racist and a dilettante style of billionaire: https://apnews.com/article/supreme-court-birthright-citizenship-trump-immigration-c73cf0c70bb550ebf0a55fafddbd935c

Political comments on this being the weirdest, meanest administration that I can recall
Political observation: this is one of the weirdest and meanest presidencies I have ever seen. Specifically this one term. During the "W" years with George W. Bush, VP Dick Cheney, Prime Minister Tony Blair, and Foreign Secretary Jack Straw the political theater was almost surreal: the Establishment neoconservatives figured out how to contort the functioning innards of the CIA so that the State Department and the US military's intel agencies lied America's way into war with Iraq over supposed weapons of mass distraction. Now we have an untethered idiot and billionaire rich from cryptocoin/bitcoins who bends his will to any extreme, malevolent political stripe that's available from the public at large: this is Donald J. Trump. When he won his second term (and US Congress should not have certified the 2024 election but they did — a lot of people do not care about how electronic voting machines really operate) we knew that it would take focus and sophistication to hold him to account. Hardly anybody in the trump admin has been held to account. It is extremely disappointing. Trump has also turned the legal system back a generation with the Supreme Court and judicial activist Leonard Leo's Federalist Society-themed bullshit rulings on ending regulation of abortion and curtailing immigration. The 2022 Dobbs decision was over a single interpretation presented by Justice Samuel Alito with regard to what the high court personally favors as their own Constitutional precept; in their fantasy world where everything is cast in either a wrong or a right light and honoring legal precedents is frowned upon.

This is how literal #fascists and insurrectionists are constrained by the whole process, even when they hold the majority of seats in office and are getting their way.. The fascists (dweebs such as Mike Johnson) even say the quiet part out loud, here. In their latest move, they are passing a weakened version of Trump's draconian and illegal/unconstitutional SAVE Act. It's basically still the same outrageous bill. The version of the SAVE Act which Trump was pushing was more severe and it's that version which Trump demanded be included in the bipartisan housing bill after turning on a dime or pivoting and refusing to sign the much more important housing bill at the last minute. Garbage such as this is why America can't have nice things right now. Racist and discriminatory stuff such as these bozos advocating for the SAVE Act is why there have been multiple attempts on this President's life. People really do hate this administration. Trump/Vance is not for the working man or woman in any way. They are for the billionaires. Trump made $2.2 billion from cryptocoin alone. I personally feel one way or another way that Trump must be curtailed or simply be brought down so that he will comply with America's rule of flaw. https://www.politico.com/news/2026/07/02/save-america-act-mail-voting-00985315

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/15/us/politics/todd-blanche-attorney-general-confirmation.html I'm not a lawyer, and even I know the DOJ is intermittently a cesspool for the Republican's pet projects; such as former White House counsel Alberto Gonzales' complete bullshit warrantless program through FISA which James Comey refused to sign off for while then-A.G. John Ashcroft was in the hospital recovering from some illness and both Gonzales and WH Chief of Staff Andrew Card needed somebody, anybody to sign the document to do away with America's freedoms and liberties -- because all Republicans are tyrannical bastards and also certifiable bug fuckers. Fuck all of you in the Trump White House. Please do better, US Congress. Please do better, voters in America. Trump was always lying to you fools Todd Blanche is nothing other than Trump's errand boy and a real shill for unchecked tyranny. This asshole of an attorney also signed off on Trump's slush fund for INSURRECTIONISTS. *Nothing to see here. Please pay no attention to the man behind the green curtain..."

It's funny. I keep bringing this topic up because I'm 49 years old. I'm Gen X and I remember the thievery of ballots in Ohio during 2004 with Bush vs. Kerry, and of course everybody in America who is not a Republican and brain washed remembers Florida and Bush vs. Al Gore in 2000 when the Rehnquist court used its unethical and improper judicial reasoning to hand the election to George W. Bush on a mere technicality. The newspapers and pundits back then say that's not really what took place. That it was about "hanging chads" and all this other bullshit with the elections office in Florida. It really was a stolen election. "They" say 2024's electronic voting machines were compromised just enough to gradually tilt the election in the Orange Idiot's favor [those were CIA and (maybe, but who really knows] NSA election monitors. The CIA are the ones who clandestinely helped Trump push his way into starting a new war with Iran). 2024 was stolen. However, the Orange Idiot wants the nation to go even further back to 2020. He blames China for Joe Biden's win in 2020. No really. That is what Donald Trump insinuated last night during his prime time speech. Is he that good? Is Trump (and Vance) mounting a propaganda effort to make this nation "forget" 2024. The US Congress didn't even have to certify the 2024 election with respect to how the swing states' machines stole or reallocated votes from V.P. Kamala Harris; who according to the most distilled, purest version of how it was actually supposed to go down -- really was the rightful winner in 2024. Nah, nah. We have alternative realities (not viewpoints) on full display. This sucks, America. Change the fucking channel. Please do catch a b----t, Donald J. Trump. Maybe the third time will be the charm.

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/19/opinion/democrats-capitalism-socialism.html Do you know what centrists and opinionated people who toe the line especially don't like about people who try to think on their own? Especially here in #Oregon? It's when independents such as myself start criticizing old men such as E.J. Dionne at the New York Times who writes garbage such as this article. It's a whole lot of writing... about not much at all. This washed-up but authentic centrist Democrat who has real history with making faux predictions about progressive politics does not know what's going on today. That's actually what it is about E.J. He is pretty much out of step with these times. Dionne's whole journalistic history shows someone who functions or thinks just like a typical politico. He makes too many compromises in his own thinking and through his writing tells the world that there will be no political solution until, lo and behold, we have that kumbaya moment or realization (the native peoples from the southeastern USA originated the kumbaya saying) ... and then Glory Be — the political center somehow continues to hold. E.J. Dionne writes little statements such as: '' “leftier than thou” entreaties. '' What are entreaties? Are those attempts by the left at holding the peace while the fascists and deadbeats who are still in office run all over this Jah-forsaken country? Huh. Sounds like the Democrats have made some okay agreements with the hardliners on the right in spite of the usual electoral viability challenges facing any party. So, right there... I do absolutely agree with E.J. Dionne. We are in a tight spot. We have no real leaders. The very worst sort of idiots have taken over for the time being. Actually, most of what Dionne has written in that piece is fine. I feel like a true critic or just a simple reactionary today who has one important contribution: my voice. Dionne and I are identical in that way. I am just the one who doesn't get paid to do what I'm now doing. There is where I don't see eye-to-eye with the gray-haired Baby Boomer. I have some major differences of opinion with just about everybody in that age range and also I have a few issues with Generation X. Easy does it, America. I think that both sides understand what's at work. The GOP sold its soul to the Trump Machine. Dionne is perfectly clear on this one point. If America goes #SouthKorea (crowd fund a coup against Donald Trump) that means that we will need to have our own military come to the US Capitol and force out the insurrectionist in the White House. South Korea is the exception. They got rid of their asshole of a prime minister or leader. America is now /the/ policy outlier who's foul deeds are known to every nation on this planet. Even the meanest and bitchiest Trump supporters know this to be true. '' What’s wrong with Democrats arguing about the relative merits of capitalism and socialism? Such polemics clearly distract from their need to stay focused on economic discontent and Mr. Trump’s corrupt abuses of power '' Polemics? That is a Grecian word. Hmm. I just looked it up and it's a word that refers to the art of making controversy and encouraging debate at the same time. ⬆️ That definition for polemics is my own improvised definition. By Dionne's rationale, Democrats must continue to keep the center intact. There is no other mission. By not writing anything new in his article, E.J. Dionne, who is one of the more long-term authentic and also credible opinion writers at the NY Times just sold his soul... to the Democratic Party's noise machine. That's harmless. Too bad that half the old people and crazy Trump supporters in this country of opinions and ideas all hate our guts with a passion. P.S. — Has anyone seen the crazy Peter Thiel anywhere recently or is that maverick billionaire now in seclusion? Who does Thiel think he is now... Howard Hughes? That's my punchline. "Ba-dum-tss" 🥁🥁🥁

Someday, something needs to change not just with icann but with the global order in how domain names are recycled: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/epp-status-codes-2014-06-16-en#pendingDelete I am being pure and just direct: This is a bad way to manage anything, much less domain names. The fact that Ionos/1and1 can hold an expired domain name for a ransom tells us that men invented the Internet. This is stupid and I don't know how else to put that. I have to completely wait out Ionos because they are being assholes over icann's pending deletes. It's a money-making venture for them. Nothing less and nothing more.

China's communist government is now going after off-shore tax havens (those are the off-shore accounting systems virtually and physically located in the Cayman Islands and elsewhere). Scrutinizing the people who take part in this and who also live in the US will not occur until well after Trump's people are long, long gone. Their being in political office is part of the main reason that this financial pattern of behavior with them keeps getting classified as operating in strictly legal terms. However, if you look at what some of what their money funds such as HUMAN TRAFFICKING, MANUFACTURING DANGEROUS DRUGS, and so on you then realize everything that the "professionals" have told you about why off-shores exist at all is a total fabrication. How else did Jared Kushner, Trump's sons, and the fat ugly Trump make billions to begin with other than poking the cryptocoin beast? They used off-shore accounts and still do. Bill Gates does this, as does Warren Buffet. Elmo and Peter Thiel do it too, but they are too craven to ever admit it. It's one of the reasons the US cannot have nice things. In other words — we cannot pay for healthcare for all, have this government fund childcare for all working adults with kids, or even put money into Medicare and Social Security because THOSE people are inadvertently ripping us all off by NOT PAYING THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TAXES. https://www.scmp.com/business/china-business/article/3361907/china-cracks-down-offshore-trusts-new-tax-rules-wealthy

" 67 boat strikes. 221 dead. The cocaine hasn’t slowed, officials report. " " U.S. and Iran pause fighting to give peace talks ‘space.’ Here’s where negotiations stand " " Inside Florida's $85M James Bond-inspired mansion built to 'make a billionaire's jaw drop' " What a rotten #capitalist system. "Everything goes" and ironically, everybody who has something meaningful to give back to society is broke at the same time because it is that minimalist and decadent capitalist system with its stupid monetary policies that refuses to budge for us. The lunatics leading this Ship of Fools have spent so much money on war and funding the billionaires' projects (DoD and military spending) while the companies have invested so much in surveillance capitalism to make the billionaires wealthy it's amazing we still have anything left of the incredible shrinking middle class. The President of the United States doesn't want you to read the part below about what surveillance capitalism is, because that type of capitalism is how our fat lunatic and leader made over two billion dollars this year just from computers minting cryptocoins. DO THIS. BUY THAT. THINK THIS WAY. HEY, NO THANKS, CRAZY BLONDE GRANDPA. TAKE YOUR PILLS, GO TO BED, AND SOMEBODY MAKE DAMN SURE THAT THIS BELLICOSE MAN IS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR THE NUCLEAR FOOTBALL OR SATCHEL WITH ITS ALL-IMPORTANT LAUNCH CODES. Here is the core idea of surveillance capitalism, according to Claude dot ai. ------ It describes an economic system where companies generate profit primarily by collecting and monetizing personal data — often gathered without people fully understanding or consenting to how it's used. The basic pattern: Extraction – Companies harvest data from your behavior: clicks, searches, location, purchases, even how long you pause on a video. Analysis – That raw #data gets processed to predict and influence future behavior (what you'll buy, click, watch, or believe). Monetization – These predictions are sold, mainly to advertisers, but also to other buyers interested in shaping behavior.

For your consideration -- I am a small time history buff and also a once-in-a-while student who's learned of history. I see this just for what it is now: Trump influencing the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation is how the bad politicians do that thing they do (those so-called leaders who have no direction). They get in there and then compromise the lower level councils (which are more or less just commissions) so they can have more of a say with the outcomes. Not only has Trump stacked the courts he's also aligned these councils with his own short-sighted prerogatives. This is America's on-going grievance with anybody eccentric and in a leadership position within political office who has drunk too much of Trump's "brand." I think they all now see this for what it is. It is stark corruption of the highest form. Presidential corruption. Only the real leaders can now call them out for this outrage. They want to build Trump-branded malls on Indian burial grounds. Trump also wants easements made in the form of tax breaks through companies he's connected to. Just watch him. That's exactly what No. 47 may try next. We need historic preservation to remain intact in America so that future generations may learn a thing or two from this country's shaky past, and then go forward from having learned something valuable about that history: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/31/arts/historic-sites-trump-regulation-changes.html?unlocked_article_code=1.11A.CpXN.FTnpr37uA-JU&smid=url-share

Briefly: I wonder how much longer you /guys/ and old men are going to keep up this persistent concern about security in software with respect to the use of artificial intelligence? (I can't speak to womens' views or any NB's views because they are a little different in how they think) My approach when writing about software is to take a broader view. I leave now with this: What if it didn't matter where the fvcking money came from to run a business or any business for that matter — as Microsoft Central is now trying to push for with their non-GAAP business model, courtesy of CEO Satya Nadella having a brain fart over the weekend and suddenly coming up with his own package to sell to investors? WHY CAN'T WE DO THAT? What if everyone was able to get paid for what they enjoyed doing... regardless of their particular station in life? Gone are the days of censorship from our parents: "No. That's not allowed. No, you may not do that." I want people to just be free. What's wrong with that idea? I'm sorry that the last point especially over earning revenue is a sticking point for the C-Suite within any Fortune 500 company... As if anybody who does work for a living actually gives a healthy fuck what the rich bozos in C-Suite believe today. The conundrum (it's a huge challenge and I'm not sweeping any of it under the rug now for convenience) is that all C-Suite people swear by Microsoft, Azure, C#/.NET, and so on. These people are "on the payroll." And it's not just with the software world. Enterprise has been this way for around 40, 50, 60 years and maybe even longer. "Sell your soul to the corporation to make a dime" ...and just let it ride. Um, hell no. I am a real, functioning hippie who is now writing something tangible and relational: No thanks, Mr. Boss Man. Look, all of you male, privileged bastards... Things really are changing. In fact, they are changing for the better. Give US what is OURS. C-Suite: stop with your innate abilities in not letting us increase our finance prospects. Also, the application of decent licensing is a tough one. I have no proposed solutions. I am only able to identify a few of the core problems going on in enterprise today. I wish that we all would stop fighting over how licensing is rolled out or engaged when using our software. We need a GPL v4.0 that is not inherently socialist in the deliverable sense. I do not enjoy writing this, but capitalism is not going away anytime in the next 100-200 years. A rebranded or hybrid GPL would be considered in and of itself not derivative directly from the old GPL however it could use the best parts of the GPL. ⬅️ Licensing is a really sore point with the whole world right now. Bill Gates and Paul Allen basically started a little fiefdom in that one area of deliverable software where the software functions on its own as its own entity. It seems that nobody agrees on what a true license and revenue model is, much less how software and chip architecture performs at the most basic level or fundamental levels. That's incredibly sad if you take the time to reason out all of what is going wrong today in business culture. Measure cost from the source of the genuine article. That's what I have always personally held to be true. Finally I'm not here to change the world or even save it. Everyone is facing their own reality and dealing with the sometimes petty grievances of their peers at work right now. A lot of our white, male co-workers voted for the Orange Idiot thinking that this would help the nation. To me it seems that regardless of political party or what leadership does in business that nobody actually helps — anymore. We are only perpetually surviving and existing with this fallen bridge that is still somehow upright and mostly visible called the American economy. This is it: we are literally on our own. Once again — we do not have real leaders within the world of software. In this world, there are only doers and thinkers or theorists (such as me). All of the bad situations taking place in our society which President Trump engenders: being those rich playboys and all of dem gone to Babylon Queendom ... I and I strong. Nuh go deh — as all the Jamaican and other Dreadlocks have frequently sung in their righteous songs about love and speaking truth to power.

Good morning to everybody in this new America... where modern-day, evidence-based conspiracies are becoming just a bit more frequent or common. Nobody understands why it is that these mysterious, unaccountable people such as former Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer (the former mayor of Happy Valley, Oregon), who allegedly was in charge of the Labor Department are even serving in these important roles in the first place. https://archive.ph/5C5wR Meanwhile, the federal government's minions are promulgating hidden digital artifacts made by their reclusive, ninja warrior spies. These artifacts are embedded in all of our I.T. systems — right now — as I write this. I think that these artifacts are frequency. All of our frequencies are misaligned in this era of hypocrisy where nothing else matters except for... being on time and just showing up for school or work. Lori Chavez-DeRemer faces zero consequences for being a low-class act. Now, Chavez-DeRemer is nothing more than a little shill who works for some outfit that wants to keep building these high-yield data centers everywhere. Several of the data centers that private citizen Lori Chavez-DeRemer advocates for went offline two days ago. Nobody in charge of those data centers has any idea why that widespread, temporary outage occurred. Every single one of America's AI data centers are being internally compromised by the installation of hidden variables or those hidden ARTIFACTS. All this really means is that all programming code is subject to review. However, humans are completely fallible. These companies are not doing their work because their CIOs and CTOs are lazy jackasses who have been known to treat their Series A and Series B funding situations just like a typical gambling operation. The House always wins in any gambling enterprise. All of these data center companies are for the most part really no different from a functioning casino. They're just a lot more careful but things will still slip by them: " On Thursday, three major chatbots — ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok — all went down without warning. The simultaneous outage of three flagship from AI systems from three different providers was bizarre. But, in an exceedingly peculiar information gap, we still don’t know why models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and SpaceXAI respectively suffered outages at the same time " https://futurism.com/artificial-intelligence/nobody-saying-why-major-chatbot-outage My comments: only making use of compassion and humor will drive away these spawns from MAGA. With respect to the history of organized labor — the public has tried using our bodies to put ourselves on the front lines before during labor strikes against greedy corporations who run the coal mines and the white-collar office towers where our feeble, working stiffs for people still work at. Good citizens have been tackled and shot down by our own taxpayer-funded police departments who unofficially work for big business and protect these corporations from their own internal misgivings and deceit. This pattern of enforcing protection for corporations from its own workers started over 100 years ago when coal mines were a hot topic... all the way to the present: where everything goes and where nothing matters except for basic survival because many people have lost their sense of time in following cardinal or normalized extrinsic time patterns due to hidden or plainly unseen constraints that they perceive as their own living reality. It is happening right under their very noses and in front of their screens or computer terminals. Many people still do not receive any credit just for pitching in. That is what I find to be absolutely unacceptable in this land of the free — where we are really not all that free. This belief I have, where I want to get the credit that's due to me is why I'm laughed at, ignored, or just cast aside by the whole lot of those idiots who refuse to think on their own by helping their brethren in this struggle to free our minds from the oppression of the bosses at work and from that unseemly form of thought control which always surfaces when fight or flight in men rears its ugly head. I have a personal hypothesis that because of testosterone and other factors in men that the fight or flight conditions are much more prevalent in men than they are in women and trans people. Change my mind? I could be wrong about this. I don't know. I think something's up with my gender and I'm now calling out men to take a bit of responsibility here. The federal government and US military have more guns than the public. We don't stand a chance of eradicating the power players in the MAGA pestilence (they call it a resistance or an insurrection) except in the event of the US having a real coup d'etat or people such as the irascible, insurrectionist Senator Josh Hawley and other awful senators attempting to start a civil war or another citizen insurrection in the USA from within D.C. Those of us who are actually non-violent such as myself have looked to the law for guidance and some support. However, since the time that Brett "Hold My Beer" Kavanaugh and the two other black-robed extortionist Supreme Court Justices all gained their seats on their SCOTUS throne, the legal system has almost utterly failed the American public and cemented the tenure of our sociopath, child rapist, and narcissist President and the tenures of all future pliable and corrupt US presidents. God Save the King, er President of the United States. No, really. That's what they did. The current US President and all future ones are now basically unimpeachable by US Congress because he (or she) can no longer be held to account for the prosecutable crimes that they may commit while in office. Because "nothing else matters" right? I don't know. Right now I will just say: F*CK PRESIDENT TRUMP. That stupid old bastard can kick rocks and keel over anytime. The sooner, the better.

Reflecting on the true meaning of life and what purpose means
I wonder why heavily technocratic people — literally almost everybody else on Mastodon — is adverse to having opinions or standing out in real life in some measurable way that goes against the norm. Would it kill some of you to stand against convention? I hail from a blue collar world and closed Republican family — where I was denied access and money to a convenient college education and I faced tough odds. After all of that, I came out okay. /Your/ software is running on all of our smartphones and on all of our computers. It is both the essence and purpose or scope of this very software which is defining some of the rules in US society that all people have to adhere to; just to get along and leave the rest behind who hate life in general or are out of ideas and won't hesitate to blame others over the constant forms of change that have been occurring. Certainly you highly intelligent introverts must have an opinion on what will become of this once esteemed country that now feels and looks like some old Hand Me Down — somewhere on down the line. After this awful time period we've all been living in, how the hell could you not have some opinions of your own?

https://www.nbcnews.com/business/media/hollywood-torn-paramount-settlement-states-merger-rcna599277 This could also happen to the Portland Trail Blazers, with respect to them being moved out of the city like the Super Sonics were in 2008 over to Orlando, Florida. I will be livid if the City of Portland somehow caves to Blazers owner Tom Dundon in the future over Dundon's incessant demands with always having to be right and invoking libertarianism far too often when as a businessman, he should not be "a stick in the mud." The new wave we all were worried about many years ago is what we have now with these new billionaires literally taking over both our virtual and physical worlds using just capital. These are the others who are good at making mergers and also stealing comparatively small numbers of electoral votes for Republican Presidents. [1] The consolidation of most of our online entertainment sources is not the way, America. AG Rob #Bonta should have known that. Governor Newsom: We're trying to create MORE jobs. AI is certainly not a panacea when taking into account both Hollywood's and the music industry's views on this subject. Robots actually cannot write scripts or pen screenplays. Has anyone ever read creative fiction written by AI? Most attempts to train AI in the art of story writing end up being crap. #Paramount 's CEO is the son of the ultra-rich Oracle CEO, Larry Ellison. Greed runs strong in the #Ellison family. Nobody really wants to take the time to ask Larry Ellison exactly how he created quite a few obstacles for Open Source database design years ago. All of that trickled up into the design of AI. These fools' goal is world domination of all enterprises and making literally everything about virtual commerce while ripping off all the rights to use our identities through instilling the presence of their brands and going way too far in selling nothing of value to the general public. Capital exploitation of consumers and workers is really not the best business model, David Ellison. I mean c'mon, seriously... Who are we fooling? They do not care. The reason the US stock market is unpredictable in a steady and cyclical way is because most publicly-traded companies add a layer of risk to make investing in these vehicles riskier than profit margins would clearly dictate. We have known about this hold-up with improving overall profitability for years while crap artists such as Jim Cramer over at CNBC talk garbage "a mile a minute" about how great the stock market is. All the Cramers in the world plug their ears and just hum to themselves: "La, la, la! Please America, get a job and tell us that everything is alright." [1] - 2024's election was handed to Trump by the idiots voting for him — and also 2024 was unofficially stolen by Republicans. The red states and Trump had some help from billionaires Peter Thiel and Elmo Musk procedurally influencing the elections testing laboratory Pro V&V in that one special way months before the 2024 election. Turnip created the perfect smokescreen by repeatedly using his attorneys to talk shit over the outcome of the *2020* election. In that one sense, Donald Trump and Stephen Miller are brilliant. They knew in the end that no one would care because our media has become something #homogeneous. They knew in the end that the screenwriters and actors down in #Hollywood did not have enough of a union presence to stop this crap merger.

Hey guy, I understand what you're implying here. I have to work within the constraints just like everybody else. Go to hell because that is absolutely wrong, @AlexanderKingsbury@mastodon.social

Remember, you were the one who started out by asking ME that question. You are one of those people who either has what they need (a partner, kids, a job, or just the means to have an okay financial situation, and you also were not emotionally abused by your parents as I often was) ... Or it is this: YOU don't have what you need and therefore it is you parroting others' talking points on this platform because you think that everything is all about you. Piss off, Alexander. I have what I need and I make do with what I KNOW. See ya. @AlexanderKingsbury@mastodon.social

@en3py@onlyarts.social @bontchev@infosec.exchange @briankrebs@infosec.exchange This figures — in this day and age where mass incompetence by both American companies and trusted institutions such as MITRE is the order of the day. MITRE could have gone with the entirely free option for acquiring SSL certs through Certbot. Hey... NOPE. They want to spend $10k for a SSL cert that would be free if they'd learned how to think in a competent, out of the box way. So they intentionally screw up and the public is left holding the baggage. Where's the accountability here, "Old School" MITRE? Nowhere to be found, huh?! Just GFY.

re: USPOL, currency, Trump ... sort of
@EveHasWords@toot.cat I am interested in this subject. My father used to own a fabrication shop in Oregon for welding, assembly of tractor and trailer parts, and stuff like that. I was a true shop kid and I know a fair amount about metals and manufacturing. I have a lot to write here: The US Treasury was ordered to stop minting pennies and I think they did stop minting them, or they're setting about to stop minting pennies because Trump is trying to run everything through acting directors and the firm application of fiat rule where a lot of people do not know what's going on while they are doing their jobs. Yes, you're also correct in the sense that everything Donald J. Trump touches or gets involved with basically just "dies" because he is a truly awful person with no moral compass. He is certainly not a functional leader who is operating on all cylinders. Despite this major weakness, all of the bureaucracies on the eastern seaboard have to keep trudging on in life because both "the law" and US Congress utterly failed the American public in the area of accountability and authenticity, esp. during the 2024 presidential election. Please be advised that what I'm now writing is perceived by intellectuals and the establishment as "going down the rabbit hole..." America's world order pretends as if he is legitimate and while in many ways he is not legitimate according to the letter of the law, it's a carefully narrated facade that they must maintain because the alternative is to have the CIA and NSA declare the 2024 election void and that it was stolen (it was stolen in certain ways within the swing states) and have the US military take temporary control of our federal government until US Congress forces out Trump or sacks him. Oh yeah. This is 'Murica and so none of that is happening because of the lousy people in charge of protecting us, such as DHS and the former senator and nimrod Markwayne Mullin — who in principle refuses to direct more money to CISA, Cyber Command, and our national defense which is supposed to /stop/ hackers in advance from screwing or directly altering the results that electronic voting machines output in the first place. What a lot of people don't care to know is the insurrection did not end on January 6th, 2021. Somebody should ask Peter Thiel how Musk and him are indirectly connected to Pro V&V. They are the elections test lab that issued those "de minimis" updates to allow the theft through miscalibrated voting machines to occur. This actually has something to do with your penny question and observations. The wheels of bureaucracy have slowed — as of late. Therefore, I suspect many professionals located in and around Washington, D.C. who typically do not speak or write about changes in politics feel that Trump is maintaining an illegal presidency. Nobody listens to what people such as me write about online, though — so I am all good here. I will try to remain calm now because life can be pretty tough on myself and others, sometimes. Trump does need to have the book of rules thrown at him. He may still get what he deserves. 🤪 I deviated quite a bit. Last of all, I'm going back to the points you were making before. I read online that the US Treasury has wanted to stop minting pennies for a long time. Since 1982, the cost of manufacturing pennies through using the US Treasury's coining presses is greater than the cost of the zinc alloy that makes up one penny. All US pennies are now 97.5% zinc and 2.5% copper.
