CTRL-OS 26.05 is out: a downstream NixOS/Nixpkgs distro with 5 years of commercial support. We stay aligned with upstream and contribute security work back to nixpkgs. Fixes for packages like glibc trigger mass rebuilds, which the community batches to preserve CI capacity. Our robot runs on NixOS. Here is the problem it actually solves.

The EU Cyber Resilience Act makes reproducible builds, long-term support, and verifiable SBOMs a legal requirement.
Our CTRL-OS module runs NVIDIA Jetson on a stock Linux kernel with NixOS. We built a robot on top of it to test real-world integration.

@Linux@mstdn.ca We built a KVM Backend for VirtualBox that allows you to run VirtualBox on KVM (you can even use QEmu VMs at the same time). On #NixOS you can set virtualisation.virtualbox.host.enableKvm = true amd everything should work out of the box.
