I'm looking for an acceptable monitor for a new desktop system running Linux/FreeBSD. System has both HDMI and DisplayPort. Don't want anything massive. Even 22" is more than big enough for what I need.
I've been spoiled by both Macbook Pro screens and an Apple Studio Display.

@amethyst@toots.n7.gg I spent 6 years reviewing research proposals. Two rounds a year, about 50 pre-vetted proposals each round. After the slop I had to wade through this past fall I couldn't do it anymore.
It was one of the most enjoyable things I got to do twice a year and LLMs killed the joy.

These countries could have a fully renewable grid, but they’re so poorly managed and so far behind on capex, that the agency to be your own power company is a powerful incentive. The fact it’s renewables is merely a coincidence.

The pictures of solar panels covering roofs and ground is about individuals having the agency to create their own electricity. It releases them from dealing with the burden of either state or private power companies that never provided reliable nor consistent electricity. Cheap Chinese panels are providing an independence from an industry that is the definition of rent seeking.

@pabloniusmonk Verizon Fios. One outage in over 20 years caused by Comcast and an eager trencher on my street. Poor Verizon guy was out in the cold rain splicing new fibers, but it was fixed in less than 6 hours.
Anyone out there have a need for an experienced reverse engineer that also has a background in cyber strategy and senior management?
Starting to look around for a new gig. Either remote or the Baltimore area.
