Too often, the leap from anthropocentrism to biocentrism or ecocentrism is little more than a desperate attempt to bypass the powerful, practical moral implications of sentiocentrism. That renders most biocentrism and ecocentrism a thin veneer on the same old anthropocentrism 😢

We should spend time with family and friends because we care about them and they care about us. But friends and family may not care about who we care about.  So we should also spend good time with people who care about who we care about.
