Seems like last year, when it first bloomed, it put on full leaves first but this year it only developed a small group of leaves before sending up a flower spike. Guess it just depends on how much energy it can build up in the bulb before its ready 🤷♂️

A month out of hibernation, my amaryllis put on a flower spike 1-2 wks ago.
