NorthSec is intense. Packed. And that's exactly why we have a party: to take a moment to celebrate the community, celebrate the artists, reconnect outside the sessions and dance late with Samajam, Temporal Waves and DJāy b2b Pocaille.

This year, the party is called 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗶è𝗿𝗲 and it brings the Solarpunk theme to its fullest: a bright, collective future celebrated in white.

Save the date: Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 7PM in Bonsecours Market.

1️⃣⚪️ Party dress code: White, it's a white ball.
2️⃣🌱 CTF dress code: Ecological hacktivists, renewable energy, plants, biopunk.

🎟️ Included with the conference ticket and the CTF ticket: https://registrations.nsec.io/northsec/2026/

🚩 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗦𝗲𝗰 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗧𝗙: 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁! / 𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀!

📊 165 flags, 37 tracks, 49 services live, 48 fichiers, 32 challenge designers.

🌱 A fully narrative CTF, grounded in a single universe. Solarpunk stands in opposition to cyberpunk: not a dystopian future, but a world where humanity chose to move beyond its divisions and build something lasting, with green cities, technology in service of communities, and reclaimed nature.

🔩 Physical tracks, Windows / Active Directory, the Bar, and enough variety for both first-time teams and veterans.

📊 165 flags, 37 tracks, 49 live services, 48 files, 32 challenge designers.

🛰️ Infra built for the event: 4,600+ Linux containers, 800+ WireGuard configs, full IPv6, and a private network per team.

CTF tickets will no longer be on sale after May 11, 12:59PM EDT.

Kerberoasting legend + Bloomberg security leaders = keynotes you can't miss!

➡️ Thursday Keynote by Tim Medin : Hacking Dumberly
Tim Medin, founder of Red Siege, globally recognized offensive security expert and creator of Kerberoasting, will open NorthSec 2026 with Hacking Dumberly: We all hear about APT, but most breaches aren't really by A (advanced) or P (persistent) threat actors. In this talk, Tim will discuss simple ways for attack and defense, and to show you that often times the "dumb" stuff can be super effective. And as an experienced infosec professional, we can learn a lot of new folks. "Newbs" have valuable insight that isn't poisoned by "that's how we've always done it" or "this is how X works". Experienced folks can learn a lot from less experienced folks, and they can go a long way in their development… or than can crush them. Let's help each other be better.

➡️ Friday Keynote by Varsha Dwarakanathan & Salini Mishra (Bloomberg): Lost in the AI Woods: Why the Future Still Needs You
Varsha Dwarakanathan (Senior Product Security Engineer, Bloomberg) & Salini Mishra (Senior Product Security Engineer, Bloomberg CISO Office) will present a reflection on AI and cybersecurity: how to stay relevant and human in a constantly evolving technological world. An invitation to use AI as leverage while managing pace, priorities, and energy over the long term.

❇️ But there's more! 24 cutting-edge talks, 7 hands-on workshops and legendary CTF challenges! Full lineup at https://nsec.io/speakers

Solarpunk is a cultural movement that stands in opposition to cyberpunk. Rather than a dystopian future, it imagines a world where humanity chose to set aside its divisions and build something lasting: green cities, technology in service of communities, nature reclaimed.

Every year, NorthSec adopts a unique theme that permeates the entire experience. And this year, that's the solarpunk universe NorthSec 2026 is diving into. It plays out on multiple levels:

🎉 May 14: our legendary annual party becomes a candlelit ball in white. Immersive atmosphere, stunning visual surprises, a celebration of the hacker community. Want to costume up? Picture yourself as an ecological militia using technology to defend your community.

🎲 In the villages: we're welcoming Why We Fight, a solarpunk tabletop RPG created and run by its own creators, Laurie Blake and Rob Ingle. Your team traverses the remnants of a war-torn country to save lives, reclaim nature, and rebuild community. https://www.sdrgames.studio/pages/why-we-fight

🚩 In the CTF: the solarpunk universe reaches all the way into the competition. When you find a flag, you might face a moral choice.

𝗟𝗮𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘇-𝗺𝗼𝗶 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗶 𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘂𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹.
