Never have I seen someone so eloquently explain the biggest problem with AI-assisted development.
This is what the AI-coding pitch never confronts. Yes, generate code faster, sure. But the catching — the eye that says no — comes from somewhere AI cannot reach.

I actually just tested it in a VM and something about it doesn't sit well with me. All the YaST stuff is kinda shoved in my face which I don't really like, along with some other minor things; it just doesn't feel terribly polished.

I will note that sometimes when people are trying to suss out an XY problem it can sound like that, but it isn't.
i.e. people might say something along the lines of "Why would you want to do that?" when they really mean "What are you actually trying to accomplish?"
I saw this in a group chat recently:
"I found a program that requires the 32-bit package of guntls. Is it in the repository? If not, does it need to be packaged?"
Somebody responded "Why would that need a 32bit GNUTLS package...?"
And they answered "I'm really sorry – while I was downloading Overwatch on Battle.net, it got stuck. An AI told me it could be because of the 32‑bit gnutls. I assumed it was a widespread problem. Sorry for the trouble."
Classic XY problem, but notice how the question, "Why would that need a 32bit GNUTLS package...?" could've easily been interpreted as condescending.
My point is that... wording is hard, I guess 😅

KDE's window management is the best in existence. There's even an extension to get that little Windows 11 tiling popup thingy but I realized I didn't even need that because everything else worked so well...

I think what really kills it for me are the blue outlines around everything, and the density and amount of options that are foisted upon me within a single view.
I just want KDE to look like Gnome, or Gnome to be as usable as KDE. Or maybe just something in the middle... idk

Update: Good news! (kinda)
If I had bought a Framework 13 Pro a week ago, I would've gotten the RAM downgraded from 32 GB to 16 GB.
