That’s great for older hardware. I just modded my switch. I might look into it for my ps3 or ps4 as well. Would potentially bring life back to a device thats collecting dust in storage. Do you have the ps3 that has the ps2 hardware in it? I got a later model that I think that backwards compatibly hardware was removed. Wondering if you could still play ps2, or if you need one of the original models?

Good to know. Storage space is expensive though and anything that's using the big drives can be downloaded again if needed. So plan was to use online backup for the stuff I can't lose like immich photos, actual budget etc and if a media drive crashes, I'll just redownload.

Figure I can work out stuff like quick sync easy enough. Main concern was spending $100 or so on the USB enclosure and hours setting it up just to have to go back to the more powerful PC.

I remember putting something like that into the compose file, but didn’t spend a lot of time trying to figure out why it didn’t work.

Currently running all my docker compose containers on my gaming PC. 15 containers in total. Mostly *arr stack, plex, immich, home assistant, actual budget and jellyfin. Running on Mint. Want to get these onto a dedicated pc. I have a mini with a I5 10-600, 32GB ram. I’ve played with it a little with jellyfin, on Debian and don’t think I was able to get quick sync enabled with my testing, and one transcode pretty much maxed out the CPU usage. To use this PC, I’d need to buy a 4 bay USB HDD enclosure. So, basically I’m just wondering before I spend money and time if the hardware is even capable enough for my usage. 3 concurrent streams is probably the most it’d ever see, ideally with no more than 2 transcodes. Immich, home assistant etc are all pretty new and just in testing for now, but would only have 2 users total. Mostly using Plex, jellyfin is also in testing so it’ll be ready if plex enshitifies too much.

In addition to this. If going tailscale at least, add the pi-hole as the DNS server. Now you have pi-hole on the go as well.

You can grow cabbage, broccoli radish and a bunch of other stuff as microgreens. You're just harvesting really early. Longer grow than sprouts, but still just getting like one set of true leaves before cutting. Taste, I find them to be stronger than the mature plant. I like them on bagels or toast with eggs avocado etc.

I grew pea microgreens once, and can confirm. They were a bit too stringy/tough for my liking. However, when they were still much shorter they were crisp and watery like bean sprouts and I much preferred them like that. If you haven't, cut a few early and see if you like.

They're more expensive than seeds. I paid $3 each. But it cuts a year or 2 off the time before you can harvest. Even using crowns, it'll be 3 years before I really get any to eat.

Are you talking about the 2nd pic, the crowns (bare roots of 1-2 year old asparagus plant)? Or something else?

First asparagus spear popping out of the ground. Was a bit worried as I didn’t spread the roots as much as I should have, but I think they’re going to be ok. Hopefully the other 23 crowns grow soon.
