NASA has been quietly taking Shuttle documentation offline. The Columbia STS-107 FMEA/CIL files aren't even on the Wayback Machine. Same pattern as Apollo: the F-1 blueprints survive, the people who knew how to build it don't. 11 years at KSC on the Main Propulsion System, and I kept copies. 2,004 documents, images and launch voice tapes on the Internet Archive, and at Zenodo with a DOI and per-file checksums: gandalfddi.github.io/shuttle.html #SpaceShuttle #NASA #SpaceHistory #DigitalPreservation #Space

@sigue@universeodon.com : "Nothing improves communication like 200 feet of following distance." Yes, this is a marriage joke – some couples discover the intercom is mostly a way to argue at 60 mph. But it's also literally true. Following distance IS communication on a motorcycle. At 200 feet you can read the rider ahead – see them set up for a corner, catch their head check, watch their line around the pothole you can't see yet. Crowd up close and you're not reading the road anymore, you're reading a taillight, and by the time it tells you anything it's too late. Bonus trivia: 200 feet at 60 mph is about 2.3 seconds – the joke is accidentally correct spacing. (And in staggered formation, that gap is to the bike directly ahead in YOUR track, not the offset bike which is around 1 seconds ahead of you) Space improves the conversation with your spouse and with the rider in front of you. Only one of those failures ends at an awkward dinner.
