I'll be trying out #Critique Circle to give and receive #feedback on #writing. We'll see how it goes.

I might hold off on submitting my #novel for now. After all, it's 37 "chapters" if I include the prologue and epilogue (though both are pretty short), and I need to familiarize myself with the site first.

I had Theodore Sturgeon's #sf #novel "More Than Human" (1953) on my bookshelves since the 90s, but never read it before now. Parts reminded me of Catcher in the Rye, but it's much better and more interesting. What kind of species do you get when members of humanity can actually meld minds?

#writing: I think I'm actually finished with the third #draft of my #fantasy #novel. That was a long journey, and a difficult project because the book has two levels (a story within a story). But finally all the jigsaw pieces fit together to form the ending that it deserved from the start.

Now the process of getting feedback starts anew🙂 👀

#escapism? I don't believe in escapism.

You don't "escape" when your actual goal is #art, is the #fantasy of the story, is to reach what is meaningful. And it is #stories that impart this meaning.

By telling or experiencing stories, you reach your goal.

There's never any need of escape.

I don't know why we use #stars to rate #books, anyway. Stars are luminous spheroids of plasma in the sky with an average temperature of about 5000 to 6000 Kelvin.

I wouldn't want my books anywhere near one.
