I will never forgive Microsoft for replacing my right control key with a fucking Copilot AI button. Yes, I used PowerToys to try to remap it, but that only works if you’re not typing fast, so great, now I have a speed limit on using that key as a control modifier. You’d think Microsoft would have learned when they failed to ram Bing down people’s throats but nope, guess not. 🤬 #microsoft #copilot

In news that will surprise virtually no one, tolerances on basic Master padlocks are so wide that you can use half cuts to make a tryout key set of 256 keys that will have a key to open any 4-pin Master padlock. But… I struggle to see the actual utility of making and having such a tryout key set. Most 4-pin Master padlocks are trivially raked, bumped, or picked, or Lishi-ed if M1, so short of long term persistent access to such a padlock I just don’t see it being worth the time making the set 🤷‍♂️ #locks #lockpicking #master #pentesting #security #padlocks

@evdelen @Casey Yeah I was really surprised at the low limits mentioned in the podcast but figured, like they probably did, if you’re hitting the limits that’s a nice surprise. It is smart to have a roadmap though, if it seems like there is at all a possibility of hitting the limits. Because it’s much easier to execute the contingency plan when you come up with it ahead of time, than when people are complaining they can’t sign up because the limits have been hit. 😂

Eventually, you might run across some jerks, it’s part of dealing with humans in general, but so far there seem to be less jerks here than elsewhere, and the admins of each server have options to deal with them. A lot of your mastodon/Fediverse quality of experience depends on who is administering your server/instance and how much time/attention they are giving to it.

I’d warn you to not follow too many accounts at once though, it’s easy to over follow and get overwhelmed. You can also set notifications for posts on accounts you always want to see stuff from but again, use it cautiously. That notification feature is usually a little bell icon on the person’s profile (kinda like YT, “ don’t forget to hit that little bell icon” 😂)
