This show is surprisingly good so far.

The only point I don't like is the cop having a conflict with his son, and possibly his (ex?) wife. (I mean come on, this is kinda boring even by cop show standards.)

Beside that, I like what they do with the underground world of Star Wars more than what they did in Tales of the underworld. Maul is great so far. And it looks very good.

How can I do FullPivHouseholderQR form Eigen with nalgebra in rust ?

I'm trying omething like this but nalgebra doesn't like dynamic matrix size...


let mat_a: Matrix3xX = ...;
let vec_b: DVector = ...;
let vec_x = mat_a
            .transpose()
            .qr()
            .solve(&vec_b)
            .ok_or("Can't solve qr decomposition")?;

it works with Martix3, but I need to do it with any number of rows...

And of course I'm not even sure I did the whole operation. Pretty sure I miss the FullPivHousehoder part.

Just trying to not use LLMs is becoming fucking exhausting.

I don't mean using stuff where LLMs were never involved. I mean not using them first hand. Because every other big software, even open-source, is including it.

At least with the crypto stuff you could just ignore it.

@benjamingeer@piaille.fr In this case I don't think unwrap is bad since it can't be none at this point in the code. I would probably still use expect or '?' in production. I like the use of match but it's going to grow really quick if you add parameter. It probably should never have to scale if we're being a bit real.

However is there a way to not clone the A passed in the option ? It feels misleading to have a function take a reference and clone the data under the hood.

Is there a better way to do this ?

I can't use unwrap_or since inside the Option is a reference.
I guess I could not copy the A if I set a replacement just in case but it still build an unnecessary A.

Maybe the problem is using a ref in an Option in the first place? But I would like to avoid copying A or moving it if possible.

Listening the the podcast "Newbie Star Trek" (one of the first episode) and I hear say stuff like : "They make Quark to deepen the fereguies but he was an exception to the rule" and like...

No? Quark is a very normal ferengui. That's the point. Quark is adaptable. He wants to keep doing business on DS9 so he has to adapt to the new population and authority on the station. So of course he ends up being relatively progressive, because his business depends on it.

His brother and his nephew are way more changed by the contact with the federation than him, and this too pull him toward being... less horrible, shall we say?

J'ai un écran sur 3 qui freeze sur Ubuntu de temps à autre, c'est relou. (le setup en présentiel pour le taf est pas dégueux...)

Je n'arrive pas à savoir exactement à quoi c'est lié... je sais que lancé Blender ou le fiche selector de ice_rs. Donc à priori c'est pas vraiment un soucis de performance.

Je peux défreezer facilement l'écran en vérouillant ma session, mais c'est relou. :/

So... no general public generative IA then?

Like, so far the few area where this technology could be helpful have said "yeah no, those tools don't work actually" so what's the actual point of this License, except giving the author of the AI a good conscience?

I don't really follow the EFF's statement on RAIL because I think they are missing the actual problem. The generalisation of LLMs in itself increase inequalities. The fact that the RAIL have restriction based on moral is like... really not the problem here.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager In the end I don't think I would have made other choices. Well Maybe I would have settle for the longest path sooner. Tuvok was at his best in this episode. Jeri Ryan plays 7 really well. Her hiding under a console in fear was heart breaking, and the writing was great. Her not willing to actually harm Voyager's crew might be a marketing decision to make her more likeable to the audience, or maybe I'm being too cynical, but either way I do like that choice. She still does slam Neelix to the ground (the poor guy was not rewarded for his effort here) but you can feel she actually like Voyager and its crew. And the final twist reinforce that she want to connect with her human side on a deep level.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager I like this episode. The memory recovering stuff isn't too bad. At least they didn't try some hypnosis nonsens. The Bomar are really here to be a nuisance but I do like how Kathryn deal with them. She seems to be very confident in the fact that they can't harm Voyager. I'm somewhat disappointed that my theory that they actually want to intimidate their own population was not verified. (I mean a lot of their demands were justified, but the flight path and the speed limit don't really make sens otherwise.) I like that after all this she still don't say screw it we ball, and they spend the three month.
