  Sleeping late was not an option today - pre-trash-collection day means I have to haul the bins up at a reasonable hour for the neighbors to also use them - so of course the entire neighborhood decided letting me sleep was devil talk On the other hand, a plant fairy gave me several live plants to add to my garden - bell peppers, two varieties of tomato, and some cucumbers. So now I REALLY don't know what I'm going to do with the inevitable extra okra 🤣

  Other than some critter (possibly armadillo) digging up one of the bell peppers I'd planted right before the storm, everything came through just fine. Even the pepper plant looked okay and I carefully put it back and tamped it down (but if it doesn't survive, oh well) Flash is still coming to me for food while living up to his name by turning into a dark streak the second I open the front door.

  The Captain Kim stories have picked up two interlopers, meaning the series is now loosely planned for ten stories (with room to grow still, of course). Only three have actual outlines, but the ideas keep churning in the back of my head. I'm doomed.
