  Last night, I flashed @GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social onto my boys' new (well, refurbed) Pixels. 3/4 of the family are now free of #iOS and stock #Android. And good riddance! The five minutes I had to spend in the latter to enable OEM unlocking were already too much for me. What's with that "sign up to Gemini screen" that comes up when you try to shut the phone off. Fuck that. Total #enshittification

  #SpudCell is an impressive technological achievement, but NOT a living cell: https://biotic.org/research/spudcell It does not have a proper metabolism. Instead, it is "fed" liposomes whose lipids lead to membrane growth and "food" that includes pre-synthesized ribosomes & enzymes. It suffers an error catastrophe after less than five "generations."   Every 1 in 10 artist accounts on #Tidal is already being polluted with fucking AI slop that some morons upload to the platform under the name of a real-existing musician. Whoever is doing this: fuck you a hundred million times. I'm all for free expression of creativity. But this ain't it. It's worthless anti-human garbage and any self-respecting streaming service should do everything they can to block this kind of spam.

  Public service announcement: this is *not* a dire wolf. It is a genetically modified grey wolf made to resemble an extinct species, so a bullshit company can raise more money for their bullshit projects. #Deextinction is a scam on so many levels I don't even know where to begin.
