I'm looking for 5 #ham #ham_radio operators that get all excited at the thought of a ssb #pileup, to help me beta test something. Some experience and entertainment derived from working pileups would help.

Set up HoIP @hamsoverip and made this doodle on my idle screen. #hamradio #voip #hoip

I’ve used #VailCW rather a lot while learning CW and recently dug up two older projects that seemed worth putting back in the light. It is a small attempt to give something back to a system I found genuinely excellent. And broadly, my tiny contribution to FOSS. One is a CW adapter that speaks Vail over MIDI on a $2 Digispark, with USB and a local sidetone buzzer. It's faster than a keyboard with no audio delay. https://github.com/yo3gnd/cw-digispark-vail-midi

The APRS transmitter had been out in the wild for perhaps a fortnight before LU3ARN had already pressed its frame generator into service with an SA818 and, rather impressively, added receive as well, complete with software demodulation and frame assembly on the ADC side. https://github.com/reynico/flipper-818-aprs

8-hour ASA print at the nicer quality setting; five-minute triple fuckup. The dog ate the supports, then thoughtfully returned them after what one might describe as a strongly worded letter, and the precision Stanley 199 went through the part and straight into one of my dickbeaters. The overall colour scheme - puke and blood - ended up faintly Load/Reload; still, the important thing is that it was very carefully optimised: four perimeters in ASA ought to beat six in ABS.

Ever ended up with a POCSAG pager that has only a partial RIC and, at best, a hand-wavy clue about where it is tuned? I wrote this for exactly that sort of nonsense: https://github.com/yo3gnd/pocsag-probe. It works. Eventually. #hamradio #pocsag #pager

I made a thing. https://github.com/yo3gnd/flipper-zero-aprs-tx It uses Flipper's onboard radio to transmit APRS and I am still surprised that it works. https://youtu.be/OhWlq-4IK9E #hamradio #aprs #flipperzero
