Which thermal camera would you recommend for PCB repair/analysis? Preference for "not too expensive" ones :) Also, usable without smartphone if possible.

Is it me or Linux Foundation events are prohibitively expensive? Not everyone earns $400k/year https://events.linuxfoundation.org/open-source-summit-europe/register/#registration-rates 230€ for hobbyists or academics ?! It's the price of a smartphone that you buy, say, for 5 years. Who will pay that to attend a conference? If you're not already earning tons of money?

RE: https://mastodon.social/@arstechnica/116970861761841251 What happens when AI finds 42 0days in the "kill switch" software in a few hours?

Hello fediverse, question for you :) Which thermal camera would you recommend for laptop/console PCB repair? Mostly for detecting shorted components. I've tried one from a friend but found it very hard to use, it was not showing much and it was hard to keep the components on focus. It was a guide E2+, and yes I tried with the macro lens as well ^^
