Twinkle Star Sprite is a versus shoot them up for the Neo Geo and is really fun when playing with friends. You try to send bullets and even bosses on the opposite side by shooting you enemies in various ways.

For my retro PC I use Compact Flash cards as the the main HDDs. They are quite easy to use because they are IDE devices by nature, and Windows 11 can still read/write the MSDOS filesystem. But I just noticed that Windows Explorer don't show COMMAND.COM, AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS. They are not hidden files, they are simply ignored by explorer! I can see these files in PowerShell and if I copy them elsewhere, explorer will display them. I'm puzzled. 🤔

My partner want a TV in our bedroom so I bought a brand new TV for our main room to move the old one. This was not a pleasant experience. I use a TV like a big screen. It is connected to a NVIDIA Shield for the streaming services and to video game consoles. I have a homecinema amplifier to switch HDMI inputs so I just want the TV to start on its HDMI1 I spent way to much time configuring the new TV just for that. And I intended to use the apps provided by the old one for the very 1st time, but i...

In my geek environment of the mid-90s, not everyone loved Win95. Quite the opposite actually 😅 What was your personal experience with this OS? Personally, I really liked it from day one. But I had the luck to have an extremely beefy setup for the time (P90 / 32MiB RAM), did not do anything heavy on...

Today I could test the famous #Analogue Pocket retro console, which emulates the #Gameboy and Gameboy Advance with a #FPGA. It is known for its accuracy and the ability of its gorgeous display to render pictures very close to the original consoles. Let see if its reputation is well deserved. A thread in two posts. First the Gameboys. In black and white, the fidelity is beyong expectations! Less so against the color display unfortunately. 1/2 #emulation #retrogaming #gba #fpga
