Can see clearly why several devs are switching to webapps to deliver their products. My new app just got rejected twice and neither reason was an app implementation or UX issue. Both rejections have happened for subtle violations of the developer agreement ๐คฆ

These days having a mobile app reviewed and approved on mobile stores is taking way more time than actually developing the features you're shipping

@derunglaublichefalk I see... maintaining an app for a mobile store's requirement in such an overhead one could decide to remove the app. Makes no sense at all...

@derunglaublichefalk the problem is exactly that having an app approved often takes more time than developing it. And this is unacceptable from my POV, especially for a solo independent developer

This time Apple took significantly less than Google to approve my app: - App Store 3 days - Play Store 11 days These times getting an app approved is a real bottleneck in an app's shipping process

That's the outcome when you take a material created to last forever and use it for disposable items. Add up people's ignorance and selfishness and the damage is all done!

16 years developing mobile apps solo and then AI changes everything, nowadays programming with LLMs feels like having a team to share the burden with. This lets you focus more on the architectural and functional stuff ๐ช

After 16+ years in mobile development, I still find it hard to accept that you have to upload new builds of your app even if nothing has changed and the app keeps working the same way, otherwise they will remove it from the store. #AppStore #GooglePlay #MobileApps
