  What format should be used for tags on Mastodon? I've seen some that are all lowercase like #swiftlang and some use capitalization like #SwiftLang. Or does Mastodon normalize the text so the format doesn't matter?

  I need to create a list of locations in a macOS app based on a partial string. For example, the user enters "salem" and the app returns a list of suggested cities that are named Salem. What are my options for getting a list of suggested locations based on a partial string?
