While the Disney Afternoon Collection is great, I'm confused by it only giving me a single save state per game. #gaming #retrogaming

Played two more levels of Bubsy 4D. It's decent, different and a bit weird. Not to everyone's taste because it's really floaty. But I can imagine speedrunners getting into this. Seems very exploitable. #gaming #switch2 #bubsy4d

All in all I completed 15 games in July. Minishoot Adventures Slay the Spire Ascension 12 and 13 on PC Slay the Spire Ascension 5, 6 and 7 on Switch Ducktales 1 and 2 (NES) Chip'n Chap Rescue Rangers 1 and 2 (NES) Talespin (NES) Mouse P.I. Darkwing Duck (NES) Civilization 6 with Korea Starfox (2026) All in all very happy with this. The Disney Afternoon Collection keeps on giving. Started Goof Troop, I think that'll be a longer endeavor. #gaming #retrogaming

I finished Bubsy 4D and while it's not bad I hesitate to call it good.

Last day of July and my playtime on Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition Switch 2 Edition is only at 13 hours. Far less than I planned, but I think that's fine, since I played plenty of my summer backlog. #gaming

I remember when the 3DS launched and a lot of people were like "there are no games for it!!" and I was still in the midst of Radiant Historia, which I played on the 3DS, not noticing the drought. #gaming #retrogaming

If you had told me in January that I would play Carmageddon for days in 2026, I'd had laughed at you. Already 5 hours in and closing in on rank 70! #gaming #retrogaming #retromay

Over the cours of months, Blade of the Immortal has turned from a series I had real issues even getting through a single chapter to one where I have issues stopping myself from reading it all at once. #amreading #manga #bladeoftheimmortal

My playthrough of Carmageddon is chugging along nicely. Meanwhile, on Switch I restarted playing Star Wars Dark Forces. I thought I hated it back when it launchdd. This time it immediately clicked and ai'm now at mission 6! Retromay is full of surprises. #gaming #retrogaming

Reached Rank 43 in Carmageddon today. That means, I'm officially half done, right? Anyway, not getting tired of it. Yes, it can be a bit frustrating if the police gets on you and rams you into oblivion and some of the opponents can be a hassle to deal with. But overall, the loop of driving around, exploring, trashing the occasional opponent and finding pockets of pedestrians where you can collect your points and time bonuses keeps on giving. Too bad the end of Retromay is approaching fast!...

Currently wondering what to play in June. I really want to finish Carmageddon and Dark Forces in June if I don't manage to do so in May. I want to finally finish Persona 3 Reload. Maybe Fire Emblem on GBA as well? That would be neat. If I have time left I would love to get around to Fatal Frame IV as well. Started it, made decent progress, but dropped it. #gaming

Reached Rank 37 in Carmageddon and Mission 8 in Dark Forces. I think those game compliment each other quite well in a weird way. Perfect for 20-30 minutes bursts. I should probably write a blogpost soon about my experiences. And about my retrogaming month challenge in general. My Diablo blog was read by a lot of people which made me really super happy. #gaming #retrogaming #carmageddon #darkforces #starwars #diablo #gamingonlinux #linux #linuxgaming

I blew through Mission 8 of Dark Forces in about 15 minutes. It's a fun mission with conveyer belts and some challenging enemies. Less labyrinth-y than other levels, sot hat's a plus. #gaming #retrogaming

I finished Dark Forces yesterday. It's amazing, a really fun retro FPS anyone who's interested in FPS should play. I'm really impressed by the level design. Also just reached Rank 5 in Carmageddon. The end is near! #gaming #retrogaming #retromay

After 15 hours of playtime, I completed my playthrough of Carmageddon! While it is a lot of fun, it wears out its welcome in the final fifth of the game. Difficulty scaling is really weird. I initially wanted to get through the expansion pack as well, but I think I'll put that on the list for next year's Retromay. #gaming #retrogaming #carmageddon #retromay

After Retromay the question is what I'll be focusing on in June. I'll play through that new Yoshi game and finish Persona 3 Reload. That last one has been dragged out for way too long by me. Bonus: make progress in Fire Emblem Engage. Actually played a mission yesterday. Still very fun and flashy. #gaming

Cage of Eden would be a much more enjoyable manga if it weren't so unrelentlessly horny for it's underage characters. #amreading #manga

Well, finished my second playthrough of Resi 9... it's a great game but I'm slightly pissed I missed a single racoon statue even though I have the maps with their locations. #gaming #residentevilrequiem

With Resi 9 done and dusted I'm back to Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. It's downright fighting you with its controls, but since I've been into this genre for 28 years now, I'm fine with it. #gaming #fatalframe

While Fatal Frame: mask of the lunar eclipse is great, I can't manage more than an hour of it per day. So now I'm digging into my retro collection and found the perfect fit: Kirby's Dream Land 2 on the gameboy. Very relaxing, cute, short play sessions. Absolutely fantastic classic Nintendo stuff. #gaming #nintendo #nintendoswitch2 #retrogaming

Latest Proton Experimental has added fixes for the original Resident Evil 1 and 2. I bet that fixes my GOG version on Linux Mint as well, which has me very excited. For all my love of Resident Evil I have never played all the way through the original game and its remake. Resident Evil 2 I have played through about 50 times back on my PS1. #gaming #residentevil

I'm rereading Mai Ball! By Sora Inoue. Got the final two columes over a year ago and probably haven't read it in two years. So I opted to reread it all and... man I'm not cool with the fact it's full of 14 or 15yo girls and an ecchi series. So you constantly get lewd situations and boobs... A couple of years back I was like "eh, it's manga being manga" and now I'm like "wtf?" #amreading #manga
