I wasn’t able to make many #pota contacts today, but one of them was W1AW/0 so I’m going to call it a success*. They were operating out of Colorado this week as part of the ARRL’s America250 Worked All States award for 2026. *I figure even if I don’t make enough contacts to officially activate the park, I’m still out in nature so it’s always a win. And despite what you might think from the name, the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge is a peaceful and lovely place and a haven for birders.
