If the @EUCommission, the @EUCouncil and their #bigtech masters actually cared about the children they would stop wasting time repeatedly forcing the same tired #chatcontrol vote and focus on initiatives that will actually protect children, like targeted social and law enforcement interventions. They clearly are relying on one single "solution" that has no credible evidence backing its efficacy - these people who should protect the children is openly admitting they have zero...

#chatcontrol Can someone with a better understanding of the processes explain to me? I'm seeing two vote results floating around: 1) Titled "AM34" which succeeded by 307 vs 306 votes - my understanding is this is just an amendment to the proposal 2) Titled "Commission proposal" which failed by 228 vs 311 votes - my understanding is this is the full vote on extending ChatControl

Today, whilst we were nervously looking at the #Chatcontrol vote, they pushed through more #deregulation that weakens #GDPR and privacy: https://www.europarl.europa.eu/news/en/press-room/20260323IPR38829/artificial-intelligence-act-delayed-application-ban-on-nudifier-apps They pushed through delayed compliance for high risk AI systems and ding ding ding "...allowing service providers to process personal data to detect and..." under the fear of AI "Nudifiers"....
