Just installed macOS 27 public beta on my MacBook Neo… activated new Siri AI… waiting list gave me access within a minute. Went to check out control centre, then got this popup... lol 🤣

If only Apple would address these shortcomings… I can’t believe they are ignorant of the issues. I think it’s more about their typical Apple mentality that their way is better and everyone else is doing it wrong. The MacBook Neo is an excellent product that could encourage people to switch away from their shitty Wintel and Chromebook machines, but there’s definitely still a lot of friction for Mac users that need to fit into a predominantly PC world.

@9to5Mac@mastodon.online It’s good to hear that the issue was resolved for this one customer, but is Apple going to address the systemic problem that caused the issue in the first place so that other customers won’t be similarly impacted by this, or at least will have a fully supported process for appealing and reversing such lockouts? If this hadn’t been brought to the media for attention and if this customer had not had influential contacts, the customer would probably still be locked out with...
