Today on NovaLandia: "VAL3R1E: The AI Assisted Music Project, and What's This All About?" So, I'm sure a lot of people, or at least some people, remain apprehensive. Some probably angry, banging their fists against a wall, plopping some deuces on the ground, or what-have-you. That's fine, ... https://mkultra.monster/music/2026/08/11/val3r1e-explained/ #ai #experiment #fediverse #llms #bluesky

It's not lost on me that a guy talking about how we should be running an AI over our code in order to prepare for future vulnerabilities doesn't really provoke a hostile reaction from fedizens, while at the same time if I mention AI at all even in the slightest the hall monitors try to kill my online presence

When you have a boss that becomes perturbed when you achieve the same goal their plan would have accomplished, but with your own plan

So, there’s this guy at work, and I’m not sure how to respond to this stuff, but he’s kind of being neurotic/hyper-vigilant about what he perceives to be stalking and harassment, and in his reports: first thing he mentions, “I don’t know if this is because of my ASD, but …” and then lists a slew of instances of his coworkers making small talk and telling him jokes, and him taking it to mean they’re out to get him

Oh good my jobs not treating my mastodon domain as a threat anymore

how did I miss the Starfield mission where you discover a ship that's been traveling from Earth for 200 years

I killed the extended ship warrant guy in Starfield and Sarah really hated that

Little bit obsessed with Starfield again. Like No Man's Sky, you can land on anything that isn't a star or a gas giant, and I'm finding that there's random stuff every time I land lol I just boarded a stranger's ship, pretended to be someone else, and stole their cargo

I like to race anime girls against each other in my laying down on the couch time

finished downloading starfield, loads kinda slow on a mechnical hdd, but not that bad, i've dealt with worse load into the mission i left off on, deep in a base, need to mine out some minerals ... i don't have a cutter, not on me, not in my ship lol wtf

so, the reason i dropped VRC a year ago and hadn't come back until now, is because I met a guy in VRC, and this is weird because my sexuality seems to be in constant flux, but anyway, i thought he liked me we hung out every night, watched movies, chit-chatted and played games then he invited me to a discord where he a numerous handfuls of people just like me, and I was sickened by it lol I quit

I'm not really a big fan of joining random VRC worlds where there are screaming children, but there are some really great places on PC only (where the kids don't hang out) Like this one

my cat scream-meowing at me because I threw out of the food he wasn't going to eat anyway mr. i-feel-more-secure-when-i-have-food-laying-around

I just thought of something: Spiderman is a spider guy, got bit by a spider, and is practically indestructible (to a point) But spiders are not practically indestructible They're squishy

plus, I really like Dune, but I don't want to live in a world that has like, hardly any technology I like having a smartphone lol

getting real tired of seeing people be like "it's time for the butlerian jihad" because you already know those mfers didn't actually read Dune and what that would entail lol

it honestly feels kind of like a breath of fresh air to stop paying Linden Labs money ... after 11 years, and just leave Second Life which tells me it was the right decision to let it go opensim is way cooler anyway

jumping back into Outer Worlds 2 because I want to finish this initial planet's quests, and I'm slide-canceling all over the place, remembering that I triggered some kind of "bad knees" perk that makes them crack whenever I crouch 😂

overwatch still pretty fun, but i kinda dislike how in both overwatch and rivals i get forced into a healing role because nobody else wants to play a healer

they're finally do blizzcon again, huh wish i was rich enough to fly across the country, book a hotel in anaheim and also go there for multiple days and buy merch without going "oh fuck that was 3000 dollars"

I love when I open a new window under Wayland and it places the window 40% off the edges of the screen

I think it's hard to make new connections online, because social media has been around for such a long time now, and so have the people using it, and then you know, people develop these expectations in their heads that they're looking for in every single person they interact with And I think I've finally decided that's nuts, and also sucks ass?

I think it's time for me to stop paying for Second Life premium and, since most store sales (or all of them) happen on the marketplace (the website), I can just stop having a place in-world I don't like SL that much anymore, and OpenSim is much more intriguing

I think a good exercise for a lot of people online is to remember and keep repeating to yourself, that the people scrolling by on the timeline are not people you know, and you shouldn't just speak to everyone *as if you do know them and they share your ideals*
