looks like KDE is linked against "libsmctl.so" in red star, which is provided by "securityd" this might not be as trivial as anticipated gonna take a peek at it in ghidra

my framebuffer keeps flashing a solid color for like a µs or so but only on my external monitor, bunch of artefacts with OpenGL accelerated libvirt GPU too i don't know if i accidentally cooked the iGPU by having thermals scrape by TJUNCTION one too many times or if it's just the HDMI cable getting worn down with my batshit insane PC usage habits both are equally possible
