"The Three Musketeers" Amelanchier species blossom. Otherwise known as saskatoon berry or juneberry. One of my favourites due to the interplay of light and shade on their creamy lanceolate petals. Never fails to dazzle. #agroforestry #permaculture #forestgardening #flowers #petals #saskatoon #creamy #berries #blossom #bloomscrolling

“It is one thing to acknowledge justice as a principle. It is quite another to embrace it wholeheartedly in one’s conduct, and more challenging still to refashion social norms and institutions so that they give collective expression to it. The daily lives of women and girls are shaped by both formal systems and cultural assumptions, and lasting change requires attending to both.” Liliane Nkunzimana, speaking about the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women
