I've just found out what's been going on at fosstodon and it's sad. I love OSS and hope to be here as long as it gets. I also realize how our cultures differ, how people in certain parts of the world stand for their opinions and rights. I live in a country where these things are only defended by a handful of people and that things go worse over time. I hope @Gina all the best as the new admin of fosstodon. Hopefully we'll see brighter days. ๐ค

Some of my colleagues have been using Cursor or something similar for coding and they have shown me some impressive stuff. And there I'm doing everything on my own inside lunarvim. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ I need to find out how to make these things work with lvim or nvim ๐

Hey @jorge , do we have ghostty packaged somewhere? (couldn't find in ublue repos) Looks like the flatpak isn't ready (or that's at least what I read in their github issues) F42 update forced me to remove my previous way of installing it which is through pgdev COPR.

Just bought a brand new Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen12 for myself and installed #bluefin on it. Most of the problems I had with my previous System76 Lemur Pro had gone away. - No wireless issues in clamshell mode โ - No issues with battery performance โ - OOTB fingerprint support (easy auth!) โ - Way less fan noise โ - FW Updates โ - Finally green checkboxes in GNOME Security โ - Greater screen ratios with greater refresh rate โ - OOTB e-SIM support ๐ฅ (haven't tried yet)

I just realized that my Thinkpad X1C has a touch screen. It was unintentional as I heard that they consume more battery. I find touch screens very weird for laptops. But here I'm trying to see its potential usage while navigating fosstodon. :)

I watched WWDC last night and these are the things I really liked: - iPad OS: I guess it'll eventually make macOS useless. Really great additions & improvements. Don't know whether there's native terminal access now? - Actions / Spotlight: My jaw was dropped. I really wish these kind of things exist on Linux desktop as well. (with its whole UX)

Some things I find frustrating with my new #thinkpad X1C G12 and #fedora 42 (#silverblue #bluefin) #1 > Camera doesn't work. I applied some akmod packages but it's still not working #2 > Resolution differences between my 4k monitor and the laptop display causes window rendering issues for apps like Telegram, Slack & Obsidian (I've to reopen apps when I switch between monitors) #3 > Having issues with solaar losing track of my BLE devices (r...

I wonder why people choose nodeJS for writing AI agents for CLI. It's frustrating to deal with different nodeJS runtimes, to install dependencies in a clean & safe way. I wish they were developed in either go or rust.

I scored 9/21 on https://e-mail.wtf and all I got was this lousy text to share on social media. Thanks to @jorge, I guess I'll never forget about ๐๐ป@๐๐ป or poop@๐ฉ ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐
