Was woken up this morning before 3 AM by the six-week-old. Used that as an excuse to go ahead and get the day started. Less than six hours later I had a lot of stuff under my belt, but probably the one that was the most fun is having a tablet running the #homeassistant companion application installed and listening for the wake word “hey BMO“ which is accompanied by a response in the appropriate voice. Really fantastic software.

A hammer salesman goes to a hardware store and tries to get the owner to buy his hammers and start selling them to customers. The hammer salesman boasts about how amazing this hammer is. “Watch”, he explains. “Place your hands on the counter.” he smacks the owners hand with a hammer. “See? These are excellent hammers!” The hammer salesman returns the next day, at an attempt to sell the owner more of his hammers. Tragically, the owner had instead bought a gun. This is about Christian nationalism.

I have no idea how Nordic Track works, but that whole iFit operating system is absolutely garbage. Previously I had issues with the hardware of our NordicTrack and not being able to keep a consistent pace because the capacitive pad would randomly get 10 mph as an input. today, however i got a software bug after several new updates. The safety key is being reported as removed. When I put the safety key back, the overlay momentarily goes away, but it immediately comes back.
