  One awesome use of AI would be for Apple to continue chatting with the scammers when you mark a text/message as ‘delete and report junk’. Would even be better if it later send you a transcript.

  Anyone else seeing Passwords app on Mac (26.2 but has happened on previous versions) not save new passwords? I had to reset my password because hadn't logged in a long time. I generate a new one and Passwords asks to save it. Click OK. Go to login. Fails. Open Passwords and it is the old password from 7 years ago. You had one job.

  RE: https://tapbots.social/@todd/116180410662301758 As a followup to this post: I reset my password this morning again and found that the web site takes you to a completely different web site to reset the password (clublocker.com -> ussquash.com) so Passwords saved the password under the other domain. I had to manually copy the new password to clublocker.com entry and then it worked.

  @Skye If you want to follow up (email or a continuing thread here) I can take a look. I can guess what some of these refer to but others like ’has really borked video playback' I have no idea what you mean. Can you not map your mouse buttons to any keyboard keys you want? Also since command-f is reasonably fast here what OS/Mac do you have?

  Bought some Girl Guides cookies yesterday evening. I was under the impression that we had mastered making cookies on a large scale. These are the sloppiest misaligned cookies I've ever seen. Perhaps QA was handed off to AI or someone just fell asleep on the line.

  @sashk this happen reasonably often? After waking up your computer? In every column (assuming you have more than 1)? Do you hide or miniaturize your main window or change columns often? Just trying to get a sense of what might cause this. @ivory

  I can only imagine the onslaught of bugs Apple is going to get for Xcode 26.3 and the Agent stuff. “I asked for an app that uses WeatherKit but still had to search a bunch of stuff to get it to work after the agent wrote the code.”* *You still have to go to Apple's dev site and add the app id and give it WeatherKit permissions and then add the capability in ‘Signing & Capabilities’ before it'll work.

  How many macOS can you run.. top one is UTM running macOS 26.1, the other window is screen sharing to my other Mini which is runs the latest 26.x betas. All being run on M4 mini running 26.2. #macdev
