Why would a non citizen vote when the act of voting would expose them and get them deported? What's in it for them?

    Oh fuck. Just sayin' Just my usual expletive at the start of each day. News trauma.

    Re: Chinese coal mine explosion killing dozens. Thus far, no one has been killed in a solar panel explosion. Coal is not so beautiful notwithstanding the stupid remarks of our orange menace.

    @irishcycle A coincidence?

    So, as long as you can't be impeached, you can commit crimes every day as President. When does he start killing people. Oh, wait, he has already done that.

    @cwgrody weird nuggets have worst game all yr in the playoffs

  • Post #2605451

    @peter So, this was not a result of so called heated rhetoric but the lack of action to impeach a clearly criminal , corrupt, and corrosive President. When the system is not working as intended, some people will take up arms.

    Long article in NYT Why So Few Babies? We Might Have Overlooked the Biggest Reason of All. I was expecting at least a passing glance at climate, but nah. Also, I am fine with less babies and less human beings on our planet.

    Media, including NYT, talk about energy prices when they really mean oil. They should start calling a spade a spade. There is no energy crisis. There is an oil crisis and that is an opportunity.

    https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/apr/23/catastrophic-climate-event-scientists-atlantic-system-collapse-billionaire-existential-crisis This has to do with the existential crisis that could be unleashed by AMOC. Is your media covering it. The Guardian is.

    Obsessing about oil and gas prices is a trap. Governments should see it as an opportunity to get off oil and gas once and for all.

    tRump was asked why he was threatened. His answer, of course, is because assassins like to attack great Presidents.

    We are not in an energy crisis. We are in an energy opportunity. This is not the 70s.

    Vance is impressive in his ability to exude confidence despite being a complete fool.

  • Post #1491983

    MS NOW and, I assume, most of the rest of the media, talks a lot about gas prices and how this is turning even MAGAs against t Rump. But our descent into climate hell gets little attention and will only happen sooner with a reduction in prices. The things we care about aren't the things we should care about.
