  Hated Bugonia. I’m sure they thought the ending was clever, but I grew up on The Twilight Zone. Parts (“Now we’re making a statement about conspiracy theory echo chambers!”) reminded me of Eddington, another bad movie. Bugonia is a remake of a South Korean movie. Wonder if the original is better?

  Watching The Bride. As an amateur scholar of #Dada, I couldn’t help but notice this poster in the background. “Merz” was the idiolect of Dada created by artist Kurt Schwitters.

  The more terrible the world becomes, the more comfort I find in horror. That’s probably messed up, isn’t it? (Note that “finding comfort” isn’t denial or escapism. I keep up, I do what acts of resistance I can. Horror helps me keep it together so I can resist.)
