Today I share simple 3D-printable cable clips. They can help organizing cabling and prevent tangly messes. This is more like an #OpenSCADFriday than a #FreeCADFriday this time, but you can combine them using the #OpenSCAD workbench in #FreeCAD. https://www.printables.com/model/1795910 #3DPrint #CAD #DIY

While everyone is talking about the new #SteamMachine, I decided to buy a #FrameworkDesktop instead. It seems to be the superior computer. For this #FreeCADFriday, I prepared custom front panels and a modified side cover for the Framework Desktop. https://www.printables.com/model/1789145 https://www.printables.com/model/1789164 #FreeCAD #CAD #3DPrint #DIY #FrameworkComputer #Steam

Of course I made my own filament clips. As always, I share my @freecad@social.freecad.org file along with the printable files. https://www.printables.com/model/1770957 #FreeCAD #FreeCADFriday #CAD #3DPrinting #3DPrint

It can be dangerous if the cables on a standing desk get caught during height adjustion. For this #FreeCADFriday, I have prepared a simple cable chain to prevent such accidents. The models are, as always, created with @freecad@social.freecad.org and parameterized. They can be adjusted to your needs. https://www.printables.com/model/1750880 #FreeCAD #CAD #3DPrint #DIY #Office

It's another #FreeCADFriday and I share another printable design created with @freecad! I made magnetic tags to label the printer configuration. This is an easy way to prevent material or nozzle size mixups. I place them where they are visible through the camera so that they can be seen via #OctoPrint. #FreeCAD #CAD #3DPrinting #3DPrint #PrusaCOREOne #COREOne https://www.printables.com/model/1745304

I noticed that certain shelves are great for filament storage. So I am currently mass printing my dry box parts to equip the shelves. IKEA HYLLIS is an affordable metal shelving unit with one massive drawback: the laughable feet keep falling off easily. On this #FreeCADFriday, I share my endpieces for IKEA HYLLIS shelving units. Summer is creeping nearer and plants start popping into existence everywhere around us. ๐ŸŒฑ For this #FreeCADFriday, I prepared a sprinkler head for large watering cans! As always, the model is parameterized and can be adapted to different needs. https://www.printables.com/model/1729818 @freecad #FreeCAD #CAD #3DPrint #DIY #Gardening #Repair #Sustainability

For this #FreeCADFriday I have improved my filament dry box. The box was already a trusty companion for 3D-printing needs, keeping filament in an air-tight environment even during printing. Why did I need to change a perfect model you ask? Two reasons: 1. I added a flexible anti-slip TPU foot to decouple it from the surface it stands on. 2. I made it stackable by adding indentations that match the profile of the container. @freecad #FreeCAD #CAD #3DPrint #3DPrinting https://www.printables....

For this #FreeCADFriday I made a hose passthrough to install a handheld bidet next to the sink cabinet. It was a fun endeavor to create the assembly. The elements are split to be placed around the hose and hold together via threads. An additional helix on the inside is custom fit onto the hose to prevent it from slipping through the grommet. https://www.printables.com/model/1714342 @freecad #FreeCAD #CAD #3DPrint #DIY #Repair

As I skipped #FreeCADFriday last week, this week I uploaded an early entry: I made a Bowden cable guide for my bike. I hope it might be useful for other people as well! https://www.printables.com/model/1706313 @freecad #FreeCAD #3DPrint #CAD #DIY #bike #bikerepair

This #FreeCADFriday I have another tool for household repairs. This is a versatile hex wrench I used for switching several faucets. The FreeCAD file is parameterized so you can easily adapt it to your needs. I have already prepared and uploaded a host of ready-to-print sizes. (The aerator spanner on the photo can be found in my previous posts.) https://www.printables.com/model/1706757 @freecad #FreeCAD #CAD #3DPrint #DIY #Repair

For this #FreeCADFriday I made something for the electronics workshop: Have a cap for your solder flux syringe! I printed from TPU filament with a Shore hardness of A88. https://www.printables.com/model/1678833 @freecad #FreeCAD #CAD #3DPrint #DIY #Electronics

It's a good habit to clean the faucet aerators every once in a while. Take them out, remove dirt and give them a soak in food-safe citric acid to remove scale. On this #FreeCADFriday, I share a simple 3D-printable tool to replace aerators. https://www.printables.com/model/1691841 @freecad #FreeCAD #DIY #Repair #Household #3DPrint #CAD

This #FreeCADFriday might be a good opportunity to fix your document shredder. It feels so good to get rid of old documents and make room for the unavoidable new paperwork that is going to accumulate over the year! ๐Ÿ“„๐Ÿ—‘๏ธโœจ I made a replacement prodder for the safety switch on my Olympus shredder. It might be helpful for you, too? https://www.printables.com/model/1662140 @freecad #FreeCAD #Office #DIY #Repair #3DPrint #CAD

On this stormy #FreeCADFriday, why not check your broom and fix the handle if necessary? You might need it to sweep away the windblown leaves. ๐Ÿƒ https://www.printables.com/model/1651758 @freecad #FreeCAD #DIY #3DPrint

On this sunny #FreeCADFriday, I continue my bike series with a pair of leg clips. Print them to protect your pants from the freshly greased bike chain! โœจ The clip is created from a single B-spline curve which is then offset using Part > 2D Offset. The chamfer had to be created manually using a sweep and its angle is optimized for improved printability. https://www.printables.com/model/1644093 @freecad #FreeCAD #3DPrint #DIY #Bike #Cycling

For this #FreeCADFriday I have made a replacement strap coiler for Selve roller shutters. It replaces the yellowing (and in some cases jerky) old ones with a (in my opinion) more aesthetically pleasing housing while reusing the inner mechanics. What's more, the design is parameterized, allowing you to enter a specific belt spool diameter. The size is adapted to the belt length while keeping the original mount hole distance (if desired). https://www.printables.com/model/1608785 @FreeCA...

Another #FreeCADFriday and also spring is here to stay! ๐ŸŒท Take a moment to check your bike after winter season. If you need a new valve cap, I got you covered! Please post replies with photos! For this #FreeCADFriday I want to share a little something I recently cobbled together. It combines a USB-C breakout that identifies as 5V Power Delivery client with two USB-A breakouts. A 3D-printed case designed in #FreeCAD holds them together. I use it to power a Raspberry Pi Zero W 2 with #Octoprint and an ESP32-CAM from the same USB port on my printer that is intended to power a cam. @freecad #3DPrint #3DPrinting #Electronics #DIY
