In the beginning of the last year I've published this essay about "Low technology" and it became the spark for the long journey I am on, writing a book. https://downgrade.timrodenbroeker.de/posts/lowtech/

What I love about open source tools is that they simply give us the cold shoulder and don't lure us in with false promises and sweets. That's how even a crudely designed interface can warm your heart. I prefer honesty over beauty.

Silvio Lorusso's essay "Learn to Code vs. Code to Learn: Creative Coding Beyond the Economic Imperative" was an eye opener for me. It differentiates between two incentives for learning Creative Coding. In this written conversation via Google Docs we discussed the relationship of Design education and Creative Coding.
