<p>I’m a father of three sons, the oldest two being twins. I live with my kids and wife in Norway. I’m in my early 40s and find computers with Linux, electronics and home automation things pretty fascinating. I’m also a big fan of red wine, Whisky, pipes and cigars, and cooking.</p><p>I use some of my time in my home office/man-cave. A 10 m² (108 ft²) room in the basement, where I tinker with my homelab and electronics projects. I try to write about it.</p>

    After two years of #roadtripping in #Norway, first with Airbnb and then tenting — we have bought a teardrop #camper; A #HeroCamper 😀 With a rooftop tent on the car and a rooftop tent on the trailer, we have three bedrooms with sleeping space for six people.     I have a small obsession with status pages. I just find them fascinating. On most monitoring services; a proper status page, with incident updates, is a premium feature. So I made my own, for my #HomeLab. Hosted on my @gohugoio website, it uses @healthchecks_io, updown.io and jrnl.     I am contemplating a domain, or rather subdomain change, and new post paths for my #blog. Going from: blog.cavelab.dev/2026/01/rpi-alarm-keypads/ To: www.cavelab.dev/posts/rpi-alarm-keypads/ Why? - blog as a subdomain feels limiting, it&amp;#39;s not only blog posts - get rid of the date in the URL - URLs to be properly structured, blog posts live under /posts, YYYY/MM is not the true structure Why keep www? I like the esthetics of APEX domain, but I like the DNS flexibility of a subdomain m...

    Received a copyright notice from Google: Copyrighted NBA sports videos and images owned by NBA Properties Inc. Sites are backlinking illegal NBA streaming sites. This is contributory infringement. Turns out a domain I was linking to had served copyrighted sports material. https://github.com/eduardoboucas/staticman/issues/475 Maybe time to do some link cleaning!
